tougelegend86
Hello everyone my name is laidbackmarco but my summoner name is tougelegend86. I've Been Playing for Four Seasons. I've been playing Sona since I picked up the game and am currently reaching for plat this season. I play a lot of support but honestly I like playing and learning all aspects of the game I draw, make music, videos, and run a small stream on Twitch.tv.

World Sona Rank

NA sona rank

Pros
|
+ Good Laning Phase + Jack of All Trades + High Impact Ultimate + Versatile Passive + Poke + cute skins looks like hatsune miku ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) |
Sona is a good pick in almost every composition. She is useful during all points of the game and has a versatile build path depending on what your team needs. Although she does bad into high range adcs mainly caitlyn |
Cons
|
+ Squishy one of the lowest base health + can be mana hungry + No hard CC pre six + countered by yasuo's win wall and braums shield |
Sona does has her weaknesses she is vulnerable to all ins and has trouble dealing with spell shields and tanks. |
There Are Two Sets of Masteries that I alternate between depending on what I want to do that game. Both of these mastery sets are viable but I tend to lean on the more aggressive build path.
Here Is The Set For Aggressive Masteries

This setup is for experienced players or into short ranged adc where you can really be proactive and take control of the lane early. I eat vayne and lucian players with a combination of

Reasons |

// This is essential Sona has no escape and is squishy can be used offensively as well! |

// This is one of two summoner spells I would recommend on sona due to the fact that ignite is good for all ins, but also gives vision onto characters like Vayne. Very Good For early Game Lane Pressure take vs carries that you can bully early |

// Good vs assassins and top laners from mid to late game. can be used after ![]() |

AURA: Sona's basic abilities each generate a unique aura for 3 seconds that empowers her and all allied champions who enter its radius, also incurring a 0.5-second period during which she cannot cast her other basic abilities. Each aura's duration is extended by 0.5 seconds for each allied champion it empowers, up to a maximum of 5 seconds.
POWER CHORD: After casting 3 basic abilities, Sona's next basic attack deals 13 - 192 (based on level) (+ 20% AP) bonus magic damage, with an additional effect depending on the last basic ability cast.
Power Chord resets Sona's autoattack timer.
Important Notes
Knowledge of this passive separates good Sonas from bad ones

ACTIVE: Sona sends out two bolts of sound that deal magic damage to the nearest enemies, prioritizing champions.
MAGIC DAMAGE: 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+ 50% AP)
AURA: Sona and tagged allied champions deal bonus magic damage on their next basic attack within 3 seconds.
BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+ 20% AP) (+ 10 / 20 / 40)
Power Chord.png POWER CHORD - STACCATO: Power Chord deals 40% bonus damage.
You're going to want to max out [Hymn of Valor] second here good base damages and poke
Tips and Tricks

Aura: Sona and allied champions tagged with Aria of Perseverance's aura are shielded for 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+ 10 / 20 / 30) (+20% of ability power) up to 1.5 seconds. The shield's strength increases by 10 for each rank in Crescendo.
Power Chord - Diminuendo: If this spell was last cast when Power Chord is ready, Power Chord will also reduce the target's damage output by 20% (+ 2% per 100 AP) for 3 seconds. explanation of skill ability here
You're going to want to max out [Aria of Perseverance] third
Tips and Tricks

Active: Sona gains 13 / 14 / 15 / 16 / 17% (+ 2 / 4 / 6 %) (+ 7.5% per 100 AP) movement speed that decays down to the aura bonus over 3 seconds. The movement speed bonus is increased by an additional 2% for each rank in Crescendo.
Aura: Allied champions tagged with Song of Celerity's aura gain 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 % (+ 2 / 4 / 6 %) (+ 3.5% per 100 AP) movement speed for 1.5 seconds. The movement speed bonus is increased by an additional 2% for each rank in Crescendo.
Power Chord - Tempo: If this spell was last cast when Power Chord is ready, Power Chord will also slow the target by 40% (+ 4% per 100 AP) for 2 seconds.
You're going to want to max out [Song of celerity] last because its more of a mid game ability I only take points in this early when shoved out of lane
Tips and Tricks

Passive: Each rank of Crescendo improves Sona's aura bonuses and Song of Celerity's self buff.
Active: Sona plays her ultimate chord, forcing enemy champions to dance (stun) for 1.5 seconds and take 150 / 250 / 350 (+50% of ability power) magic damage.
You're going to want to max out [crescendo] first or as soon as you can. this is your ultimate ability

Items
![]() |
10/10 | This Item gives you everything sona wants gold income, mana regen, cdr, and more cc 4 wards and health |
Lich | 8/10 | an item that seems like it was made for sona give's her all the stats she wants. Sona's [power chord] synergizes with this and she has low enough cool downs to take advantage of the lich bane while getting cs under tower, its a little expensive for a support item |
![]() |
7/10 | Cheap to build gives mana regen, cdr, and a chunk of ability power, boosts the adc's damage as well |
![]() |
7/10 | Benefits aggro sona and sona has decent ap ratio's on her abilties meaning more heals and more burst damage on her ultimate, but this is a really expensive toy to have |
![]() |
8/10 | good vs all ad teams or teams with no gap closers, but lacks ability power stat |
![]() |
10/10 | If you are going a more supporty sona lucidity boots are cheap cdr for your ultimate with the support item and the mastery your ult will be up all the time |
ionian banner of command | 9/10 | Helps the team with the aoe mr boost and if not dealt with can create a big wave that someone will have to go deal with. And if that person doesn't have tp like their adc flash crescendo can set up fights and catch people |

Sona has no memories of her true parents. As an infant, she was found abandoned on the doorstep of an Ionian adoption house, nestled atop an ancient instrument in an exquisite case of unknown origins. She was an unusually well-behaved child, always quiet and content. Her caretakers were sure she would find a home quickly, but it soon became apparent that what they mistook for uncommon geniality was actually an inability to speak or to produce any sound whatsoever. Sona remained at the adoption house until her teens, watching in hopeless silence as prospective adopters passed her by. During this time, the caretakers sold her unusual instrument to anxious collectors, hoping to build her a trust. For a myriad of bizarre and unexpected reasons, however, it would be returned, or simply appear again outside the house.
When a wealthy Demacian woman named Lestara Buvelle learned of the instrument, she immediately embarked to Ionia. When the caretakers showcased the instrument for her, she rose wordlessly and explored the house, stopping outside Sona’s room. Without hesitation, Lestara adopted her and left a generous donation for the instrument. With Lestara’s guidance, Sona discovered a deep connection with the instrument which Lestara called an "etwahl". In her hands, it played tones which stilled or quivered the hearts of those around her. Within months, she was headlining with the mysterious etwahl for sold-out audiences. She played as though plucking heartstrings, effortlessly manipulating the emotions of her listeners - all without a single written note. In secret, she discovered a potent and deadly use for her etwahl, using its vibrations to slice objects from a distance. She honed this discipline in private, mastering her gift. When she felt prepared, she went to the only place which could offer her a fitting recital: the League of Legends.
"Her melody moves the soul, her silence sunders the body."
― Swain Jericho Swain, after attending her concert
