Hello everyone my name is laidbackmarco but my summoner name is tougelegend86. I've Been Playing for Four Seasons. I've been playing Sona since I picked up the game and am currently reaching for plat this season. I play a lot of support but honestly I like playing and learning all aspects of the game I draw, make music, videos, and run a small stream on Twitch.tv.

Pros

+ Good Laning Phase + Jack of All Trades + High Impact Ultimate + Versatile Passive + Poke + cute skins looks like hatsune miku ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Sona is a good pick in almost every composition. She is useful during all points of the game and has a versatile build path depending on what your team needs. Although she does bad into high range adcs mainly caitlyn

Cons

+ Squishy one of the lowest base health + can be mana hungry + No hard CC pre six + countered by yasuo's win wall and braums shield

Sona does has her weaknesses she is vulnerable to all ins and has trouble dealing with spell shields and tanks.

There Are Two Sets of Masteries that I alternate between depending on what I want to do that game. Both of these mastery sets are viable but I tend to lean on the more aggressive build path.

This setup is for experienced players or into short ranged adc where you can really be proactive and take control of the lane early. I eat vayne and lucian players with a combination of and


This setup is the standard set up giving you more CDR on basic abilites and a lowered cdr on your flash with

This set is for playing against other AP supports so you don't get bullied to hard

For playing against Zyra, Karma, or malzahar

Take this set into lanes you know you can punish and don't do much magic damage. . . more heals and more damage on your q but it will make you a lot more squishy

Power Chord: //
AURA: Sona's basic abilities each generate a unique aura for 3 seconds that empowers her and all allied champions who enter its radius, also incurring a 0.5-second period during which she cannot cast her other basic abilities. Each aura's duration is extended by 0.5 seconds for each allied champion it empowers, up to a maximum of 5 seconds.

POWER CHORD: After casting 3 basic abilities, Sona's next basic attack deals 13 - 192 (based on level) (+ 20% AP) bonus magic damage, with an additional effect depending on the last basic ability cast.
Power Chord resets Sona's autoattack timer.

Knowledge of this passive separates good Sonas from bad ones

Aura: Allied champions tagged with Song of Celerity's aura gain 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 % (+ 2 / 4 / 6 %) (+ 3.5% per 100 AP) movement speed for 1.5 seconds. The movement speed bonus is increased by an additional 2% for each rank in Crescendo.

Power Chord - Tempo: If this spell was last cast when Power Chord is ready, Power Chord will also slow the target by 40% (+ 4% per 100 AP) for 2 seconds.

You're going to want to max out [Song of celerity] last because its more of a mid game ability I only take points in this early when shoved out of lane

You're going to want to max out [crescendo] first or as soon as you can. this is your ultimate ability

an item that seems like it was made for sona give's her all the stats she wants. Sona's [power chord] synergizes with this and she has low enough cool downs to take advantage of the lich bane while getting cs under tower, its a little expensive for a support item

Cheap to build gives mana regen, cdr, and a chunk of ability power, boosts the adc's damage as well

Benefits aggro sona and sona has decent ap ratio's on her abilties meaning more heals and more burst damage on her ultimate, but this is a really expensive toy to have

good vs all ad teams or teams with no gap closers, but lacks ability power stat

If you are going a more supporty sona lucidity boots are cheap cdr for your ultimate with the support item and the mastery your ult will be up all the time

Helps the team with the aoe mr boost and if not dealt with can create a big wave that someone will have to go deal with. And if that person doesn't have tp like their adc flash crescendo can set up fights and catch people
