In soloqueue most of the time you can get away with only four wards ( one grey, one pink, two green). I suggest you use at least one of those wards before the minions spawn, to ward their jungle/secure an entrance.
Lanewarding is also something important. The higher ELO you get the more people will assume that the river is warded/protected, they'll attempt to go over walls or lanegank. This is where warding the farthest brush in lane comes in handy.
In mid-game make sure you always run around with at least three wards( sightstone 1green and 2 pink)place them before objectives spawn and think ahead.
