Miss Fortune is a great carry that can hurt if played well. This build is based on her survivability and damage output.

For her safety and survivability I go with straight tank runes. If you'd like to use runes with extra damage, health, or mana you could it is really up to you. what you like to utilize and what you have.

My mastery tree is a 19/0/11
I put 19 points offensively having one on Ignite, one of my spells, and the rest on all damage slots.
The other 11 are used on every mana and health boost and one on my other spell, Ghost.

With her, I like to start with to not be so squishy, and I like to take mid lane. I've also seen Miss Fortunes start with or or even . I'd suggest, take and you'd probably have more lane control.

In order for you to have a succesfull build, I think you should at least get one Tanky item. If you'd like to go all out on Attack, go ahead, but the best would be to get one Magic Resist or Armor item. Beware of the situation you are in and choose your items, of course not forgetting your core items.

The best two combinations of spell I found were - and -

If you'd like go more offensive, Ghost and Ignite will go well.
For a more survival mode I recommend Ghost and Flash as it gives you the guarantee to get away and let your sexy Strut do its work.

Her Ultimate can be used to clear large minion waves.
Make It Rain Slows down enemies to either save your mates or catch up for a kill.
Strut is just sexy ;D
Double up is a great way to harass your enemy and dominate your lane. As well as it helps you farm big minion fast-er.
