**** that ****. if you do not ban the ***** crank you will pay for it. if he is good that is. i must emphasize that point though, you will only have trouble with this guy if he a reaaally good crank. when that day comes however, he can one shot you without help from his adc. and if his adc is there, god forbid...you will never win trades.
perma-banned. forever and always.
Draven
A GOOD draven will most likely win lane, just because you cant really keep him from getting kills. your only hope in beating this bad boy is by out farming and picking up every kill you get your hands on. you scale very hard, but so does he. respect his damage, and play smart, peel him off your team with ult if needed, but remember that until late game your ult is the only way you will win a fight against him 1v1
Thresh
possibly worst than the crank simply because his kit is so much better and has tons of utility that he can make use of without needed farm or gold. however, what makes him less life threatening is the fact that aside from cheese builds, a thresh will not be able to one shot like blitz can. if he collects enough souls he can be pretty scary, but it takes quite a while for him to reach that point without building damage items. still to be respected, but the same goes for blitz, a huge threat, but ONLY in the right hands. a bad thresh will be pretty close to worthless.
Sivir
you will find her to be quite a pain in the right hands. she counters your all ins, and the q damage adds up after awhile. however, she wont out damage you after you scale up, so play passive, try to outlive her all ins, and look for chances to roam and pick up kills if you can afford it. once late game rolls around, you shouldnt have any problems
note: if you can bait out her shield, your trading will get alot easier. but if she is smart she will save it for your ult, then ult back and chase you down.
just push lane and farm, you can't kill em all.
Jinx
jinx makes for a very tough opponent. if she is smart, she will go even in lane. main difference being that she scales insanely hard, and no matter how much of a lead you get on her in lane, she can still end up coming out of it with enough kills because of her passive. her q gives her the range advantage she need to win the beginning and ends of trades, so you need to get in, deal the burst damage, and gtfo or she will win the trades. and if she has a good support, gg.
Soraka
healers are the worst for you in laning phase. you want to slowly chip away your opponents heal with short bursty trades, but these *****es just wont let you do that. and before you know, youre out of mana and the adc is running mach 10 at your face ready to end your chance of carrying once and for all. if you see a healer, target them first and get them out of the fight asap.

Ekko
oddly enough, varus goes pretty even when their team has an ekko. your ult keeps him from using his for a short duration, in which you may be able to burst him down. he is super sticky though, so if he commits you killing you, you may not be able to just peel him off. best bet is to fight it out and look for a chance to break away, in which you can kite him down. skill matchup, but winnable.
Ashe
you have her in the laning phase if you play it smart, and once the mid game comes you outclass her very quickly. with you ult up that is. however, lets assume she has picked up and ungodly number of kills, she can be a very tough opponent. but with this build, you will most likely win any 1v1s with her. watch out for her op broken *** ult and you should be fine.
Caitlyn
her range is pretty tough to deal with. try not to let her poke you down, and be ready to punish her immediately for being too close. and for the love of god dont give her free headshots, those ****ing hurt.
overall, she is a very strong laner, but if you play safe and farm and dont give her free kills, you can come out of it fairly well
Twitch
on paper you counter twitch with your burst damage, but by what i have seen, if you go for an all in at full health, you wont win. it is a must to poke him down, until you can ult and all in. land your q's and make perfect use of your mana, because he cant do much to dodge your q's and ult. look for small trades and poke, he is pretty defenseless
Kalista
gah. this *****. she can do well in both short trades and long fights. she has a pretty good chase potential, and if she is good, can make landing skillshots a pain in the ***. and that part only gets harder has she gets more attack speed. play passive, farm when you can, dont let her get too many stacks on you, or rend will chip away your hp like there is no tomorrow.
varus has one of the slowest windup AA's in the game at lvl 1, so you wil find farming and trading a lot easier with the attack speed quints. one crit chance red for the hell of it, otherwise the normal defense yellows and blues
