Champion Build Guide
Welcome to the Ultimate Draven Guide!
Hey summoners, I'm Jasper Draven, I've been playing Draven for years. In Season 13, I peaked at 400LP with a 68% win rate on Draven. I've tried many builds, and I've understood what works and what doesn't, so I'm here to share my ideas. I genuinely believe that my setup provides Draven with everything he could possibly need. By the end of this guide, you will hopefully open your eyes to a new style of playing Draven.
Understanding Draven
Draven isn't just any ADC; he's a powerhouse. His damage, predominantly scaling off his Bonus AD, is immense. Did you know that thanks to his Q (Spinning Axe), he has the highest scaling with raw bonus AD in the entire game? To put that in perspective:
His Q has a bonus AD ratio of 115%. This means that when you axe auto, you're hitting for 225% the damage of a typical ADC's auto-attack.
By rank 5, this ability also adds a flat damage of 60.
However, like any League champion, Draven isn't without his weaknesses:
While Draven's primary damage is his autos, it makes him short ranged at 550 range.
This leaves him vulnerable to poke matchups. If he can't stick to his enemies, he can't deal damage.

Bloodthirster
You're probably wondering why I swear by Bloodthirster as Draven's first item. I mean, items like Essence Reaver and Collector promise so much damage, right? Here's my reasoning:
Sustainability Over Burst: The substantial lifesteal from Bloodthirster compensates for Draven's vulnerability to poke. While you might miss out on some upfront damage, the ability to remain in fights longer actually leads to more damage output over time.
Survivability: Think about champions like Kalista. She synergized beautifully with the old Shieldbow because it offered durability - vital for shorter range ADCs. Bloodthirster grants Draven a similar, more aggressive edge.
Runes Compatibility: Building Bloodthirster first allows you to prioritize Alacrity over Bloodline in your runes. This boosts Draven's early game potential massively.

Conqueror
"Conqueror on Draven? Why?" Let me explain:
Bloodthirster and Conqueror might not seem like the most potent combination individually, but when paired, their synergy is massive:
The blend of Bloodthirster and Alacrity grants an impressive 18% lifesteal and 18% attack speed.
With this combination, not only do you heal a ton, but you also ramp up your attack speed, allowing you to stack Conqueror quickly.
Given the sheer amount of raw attack damage from your builds, your critical strikes will hit very hard, enabling Draven to dominate mid-game and confidently secure wins.
