In regards to Clarity, don't use it in 5s. SR lacks any meaningful MP regen by default, so getting another rotation of spells isn't as useful, whereas Teleport, even excluding the insanely powerful Eggnivia Teleport, is extremely advantageous. The reason that it's so amazing in 3s is because TT has an inherent MP regen tied to the map (it's a mini-Mana Font), so you can not only go through all of your spells without running dry, but you don't even necessarily need to use Clarity to get that mana back. Clarity offers Anivia what she needs more than anything, which is MP. Without MP, she is completely defenseless against enemy champions. If your argument is replacing Clarity for Ignite, you're flat out wrong. Clarity gives you an entire extra rotation of spells, which at no point in the game is weaker than Ignite. You already have damage out the ***, you don't need more. If you replace Clarity, it'd better be with some kind of movement, that being Ghost (which isn't that useful on a burst champion), or Teleport, which is very weak on TT, since the map is so small, and MS is always superior.

Note that I only have Clarity in the section for 3s. Different maps play differently!

TOP LOL. How can you be playing since Season 2 and still think this?

An explanation on why Clarity is THE WORST summoner spell in-game.

but why would riot implement a summoner spell that is useless 100% of the time?

In my time, Anivia players would use Flash/Ghost and Clarity. To start with her and latter, they would use Flash and Ghost only.

So many dumb ppl don't know how much of a table-turn it can be having a "moron" using in to save the entire team and make it possible to be able to fight back after 1 or 2 ganks without need of going to base for resupply their mana-polls.
I play Anivia since Se***on 2 (didn't played in se***on one couse I didn't had the IP for it xD back then).

And Clarity has been a life saver for anyone who wants to start anivia or being able to give some persistent-push to end games.

In case you don't understand what I mean, Imagine this situation. You finished one gank of Support is out of mana, your mage is also nearly empty and adc can't use any more skills. Yet the enemy's respawn and come at you, and then, you "clarity" them, giving them a extra possible to endure one last gank and turn the tables. I lost count how many times I did this over all seasons.

PS: Anivia is very strong she doesn't need anymore Summoner-spells like ignite or w/e, all she need's is mana and speed/movement. Been playing her for years, that's my conclusion till now.

You need mana regen in some form or another. The runes are terrible, I'd rather get an early Blackfire Torch as opposed to Athene's Unholy Grail, and that leaves Clarity. The main reason aside from that is the simple fact that I don't need another Summoner Spell. Ignite isn't that useful on a burst mage, imo. Barrier isn't that useful since I have to get health anyway (Anivia needs real health for her egg, not just shields. This is also why I don't usually get Seraph's Embrace). Teleport is only useful for egg teleporting. Cleanse has limited uses, since not every champ is a problem because of CC. Exhaust is a waste on Anivia since she already has plenty of slows, and the damage reduction doesn't help her, since she bursts someone, then leaves while her spells are on CD. Clairvoyance doesn't thing for her. Her wall grants sight, and she doesn't benefit from being able to see enemies across the map. Smite should be self-explanatory, I'm not jungling. I used to take Ghost, but I find Flash more useful on Anivia. I could take both, but that seems like overkill. That leaves Clarity and Heal, and it's far more likely that you'll run out of mana than you will health.

Anyway, to each their own. It's just sad when people downvote an entire guide simply over a single Summoner Spell.
