i did not copy this from anyone. If you think i did then it might be coincedence so give me the link and show me why you think its copied. I never copy builds but if someone has the same idea then it could be that another one exists. If that's the case i'll edit my build again with an update or talk it out with the maker of the other build.

Without given proof it is not fair to downvote my build. Aswell as accusing me of something which you haven't proven.

To wRAthoFVuLK

First of all im gratefull for your critisism and advise. I myself haven't had much experience with katarina so i made this build together with janitsu. As you already told me it can indeed use some changes for the reasons you said and i'll change them ASAP (the ones i completely agree with or understand).

criticism:

1. Mixing 3 diff quints reduces effect drastically of all of them to almost useless, would recommend 3 potency or fortitude.

force quints are bad, the main point of having AP quints is for the large early game boost of AP right off the bat.

same with celerity quints, celerity blues are good though generally.

If you go 3 potency, I would recommend a boot and 3 pot start, as you have 15 AP off the bat to harass with, so you can get a head start on your boots as well as get some nice HP pots, and since you don't have mana, you can stay in lane much longer this way.

2. Yes, Gunblade should replace Will. Will is a supporty item or an item for casters that do not utilize AD at all but want vamp.

Gunblade is the single best item for damage on Kat, the AD scales okay, and you get the passive, lifesteal, vamp, and nice AP.

Please put gunblade in the main build, and, if you need to, will as the 2nd option in the description.

3. spellblade, nah. only 50 AP and 25 tenacity; CC heavy team? banshee or mercs.

save that slot for a nice AP item with some utility such as hourglass, and armor helps you stay more survivable as well.

and no, don't stack deathcaps, that is just wasting gold since you don't get the passive again...all you are doing is paying 3600 for 140 more AP when for 300 less gold you can get hourglass, which gives only 40 less AP, but also a ****ton of armor (50) plus an irreplaceable active that can save your *** so much it isn't even funny.

4. Masteries are bad. for one, if you are going 9-0-21, take the final point in the utility tree please...

let's see, reduced cooldowns DRASTICALLY on ALL of my summoner spells?

or ****ing 10 AP when when ignite is on cooldown, only really helpful very early game, whereas reduced cooldown on summoners is EXTREMELY helpful throughout.

But, I would recommend going 9-21-0 anyways, for many reasons...

I don't feel like explaining what I already wrote so I will just quote my guide:

Well, so I don't bore you to death, I won't go through the reason for taking every point here. But basically, the masteries I set above give you more dodge chance, armor, MR, health, AP, and reduced damage taken. Why all this beefiness? Well, Kat is squishy at core. This helps you to be...less squishy. Which is good, right? Also, your ultimate is channeled. Chances are you will be in the middle of things when you use it. These masteries lessen the damage burden that can occur to you when you spin in circles. Also, in conjunction with Killer Instincts later game, you will take A LOT less damage after Shunpo-ing ~ great for chasing/escaping.
The extra 4% AP helps a boatload. It adds a little over 25 AP at the end of the build, which is IMMENSE considering it just uses 3 mastery points.
Also, a little heads up, in case you are wondering why I am getting points in some masteries, such as dodge chance (Evasion), it's because it is the only way to get to the bottom of the defense mastery tree with Kat.
If you look, the masteries I don't take are, starting from top left to bottom: Mender's Faith (which upgrades Heal spell, and we aren't taking Heal), Preservation (which upgrades Revive, which we are also not taking), Strength of Spirit (which increases your HP regen per max mana you have, but that won't help Kat considering we don't have mana), Defensive Mastery (which is only 2 points and gives you reduced damage from minions and monsters which is nice for jungling with tanks, but we are not jungling), Willpower (which upgrades Cleanse which we are not taking), and Reinforce (which upgrades Fortify which we are not taking as well).
And we want to reach the bottom of the mastery tree for 2 reasons: the 4% AP increase, as well as the 4% reduced damage from all sources (since, as explained before, we need nice survivability since we are going to be in the middle of things).

So, just from 3 points alone you are getting 25 AP, versus 10 from upgrading ignite anyways T_T

Hope I could help, I am not voting right now, as it isn't good enough imo to warrant an upvote but I don't think it deserves a downvote just yet; hopefully you will make some changes.

like i said you can decide yourself which of the two items you pick depending on the situation, they both got their good and bad sides which can be helpfull depending on the opponent team and your team ^^
