Hello guys! I'm Voiiid and i main the mid lane. i have been playing since season 2 and mostly play Katarina, Katarina is one of the best mid laners in my opinion and this guide will explain why! Enjoy!

The marks are self explanatory and i go with Armor seals because it will increase your survival in team fights and through the game, same with the glyphs, those will help through the laning phase because you will most likely be going against a AP mid laner. The Quints are self explaining also.

I think these masteries are the best for Katarina, with Katarina you will be roaming a lot so that's why i got the 9 in utility and the 21 in offense will give you amazing damage in team fights and in the early/mid game laning phase.

I max out the Bouncing Blades first because i start my combo with Bouncing Blades and also it is her most damaging spell. (besides Death Lotus) A good and most basic combo i do in lane is Bouncing Blades, Shunpo, Sinister Steel, and if they are low health unleash a devastating Death Lotus. (don't forget Ignite :D)

Just try to farm as well as you can, you might get harassed a lot in lane because your melee but you can always throw a Bouncing Blades to their face when you go to last hit for that extra harass, you can also use this to last hit if you are pushed back. Also remember if your vsing a squishy mid laner (most mids are) then once you hit 6 you can take over mid lane and kill them on sight.

When your team engages in a team fight, wait just a second and analyze the fight, you want to try to Bouncing Blades then Shunpo in the middle of the fight but try to be close to the ADC and mid laner if possible (they most likely do the most damage on the team) and unleash the beast ( Death Lotus :D) and enjoy the total destruction.

Katarina excels at killing champs like Twisted Fate, Anivia, Veigar etc. Katarina excels at killing champions with really low hp like the ones listed above but you really don't want to pick Katarina when your going against mid laners like Heimerdinger because of his turrets or Gragas because he can just ult you away when you ult. Oh and don't pick Katarina against Fizz because... lets be honest.. Fizz is just to damn OP!

Voracity! (Katarina's Passive) This passive is one of the best in the game in my opinion! In a team fight if you kill 3 people with your skills (not that hard if you do the combo listed in the guide under the team fight section) Then you can Death Lotus AGAIN!!! Katarina is one of the best champs to get a penta with just because her passive is so good. The combos and damage you can pull off just because of this passive are endless!
