A champion with abilities that allow him to replenish his health, he also has great utility in the form of an ultimate which amplifies damage against its targets and deals damage after 5 seconds. i fell in love with this champ however due to his unconventional play style and the Sanguine pool, when your enemy think they have you. TADA! your safe for 2 seconds where you can plan your escape.

here is his backstory:
There is a temple hidden in the mountains between Noxus and the Tempest Flats, where the secrets of an ancient and terrifying sorcery are kept. The area surrounding the temple is littered with the exsanguinated corpses of those who have mistakenly wandered too close. These served only to pique the curiosity of Vladimir, when - in his youth - he trekked through these mountains during his flight from Noxus. A day earlier, the teenaged Vladimir had brutally murdered two boys his age, for no better reason than to enjoy the intoxicating scarlet bloom that surged forth. He realized immediately that he would never be able to suppress his murderous desires, and if he remained in Noxus, his foul deeds were sure to catch up with him. Without hesitation, he abandoned the city-state, and journeyed south.

The trail of bodies led him to a crumbling stone temple. Inside he found an aging monk who appraised him with eyes of pure crimson. Vladimir surprised the monk by returning the wicked gaze with zeal. Recognizing the boy's sinister craving, the monk taught Vladimir how to manipulate and control the fluid of life, often practicing on passing travelers. When it came time for Vladimir to learn the final lesson, the monk warned that failure would result in death. Vladimir did not fail, but success bore a grisly surprise. During the ritual, every drop of the monk's blood was drawn from his body and fused with Vladimir's, imbuing him with his master's magical essence, and that of every hemomancer before him. Left alone and suddenly without purpose, Vladimir resolved to return to Noxus, demanding enrollment in the League to prove the supremacy of his craft. When the Noxian High Command observed the gruesome fates which befell the palace guards, they elected to avail themselves of Vladimir's unsavory talents.

for his runes i prefer those because they allow him to deal good damage and provide some survivability. they can be changed to regular mage runes or spell vamp quints. This is a guide not a dictatorship. For quints you can also add in some movement speed to allow the more effective kiting, however personally I wouldn't recommend this as it reduces your early game harass potential

In this build the Furor enchantment is purchased fairly early due to the fact that with the new patch Vladimir's Q is considered a single target spell and makes it available for Ryalais slow. With Furor giving you movement speed and Ryailas slow it should give you both good chasing and escape potential.

In team fights your job is to try to land your ultimate on to all of the enemy champions, after that focus the carry using your pool to survive and your q for sustain. however if the carry is hard to reach focus the champion which deals the most damage to your team. Throughout the fight use your e as the extra stacks will provide you with extra damage

Vladimir's Q allows you to harass and Cs fairly easily throughout the game with nice damage low cool downs. As Vladimir early game use your Q as sustain and harass if the enemy over extends, but if facing champions who will out trade you do not chase to use the q on them. use your e to farm and harass close range champions like Katarina if they overextend and leap onto you. This way soon they will have no health and will be forced to recall leading you to have 2 choices...

As Vladimir with your kit you should be able to gank fairly well if your teammates follow your lead into the fray. initiate with your Ult and sanguine pool to prevent the escape as the 2v1 or 3v2 will force the enemy to retreat. however if you see that the lanes are having no trouble try to heal up any damage and push your own tower. With your sustain you will be able to stay in lane unless you are ganked very hard by their jungler
