well obviously you take the consume at level 1 for the huge smite, but i'm saying maxing it is silly because the meta is all about skirmish power. Meta junglers like kha'zix, elise, and panth don't care if you eat their big wraith because they can either just kill you or be snowballing lanes. Counterjungling is sooooooo season 2 :P Not to say it isn't important, but you can pretty much counterjungle just as effectively with a level 1 consume for most camps.
Nunu is a really unique case because typically being a good counterjungler means you have fast clears, but nunu has one of the slowest in the game. All he has is consume on a 13 second CD, so his only real strength is counterjungling since you only take the big guy anyway. Unfortunately counterjungling and some late game utility with blood boil are not enough of a reason to solo queue with nunu in the first place. However if you were going to play him, maxing consume is not the way to go. Someone else mentioned putting 2 points into consume then maxing E, that could work in theory. :P just my two cents, it's really all meta based, this would have been a fine build back in the day but right now it's just too weak.
I still like to Max Consume for the buff control and stronger clears/counter jungling, but by the time you hit level 9 you should have maxed Consume and have 2 points into Ice Blast, so if instead of taking Ice Blast at levels 2 and 8, you could instead put points into it at levels 2 and either 4 or 5 for earlier power if you wanted to, and then still have maxed Consume with 2 levels in Ice Blast.
Quite the contrary. It makes you a monster counter-jungler. Do you know how hard it is to secure your own buffs against a 790 true damage Smite at level 1? And then turning up to your camps only to find that all the big creeps are gone? Nunu & Willump gets money and their jungler becomes useless.

I agree maxing Consume is overkill, but I wouldn't argue with sinking early points into it then maxing Ice Blast, and make up your mind as to whether you want to keep ranking Consume for a stronger objective secure or have a stronger buff for your ADC later on.
I mean aside from that, the guide isn't that bad. Biggest problem I see is with your early buff steal strat - most junglers start at their lower buff for a leash from bot lane, unless they're really dependent on blue like Fiddlesticks. Your blue side invade should usually work, purple side- not so much.
Other than that I'd suggest you make things easier for your readers by actually separating your sections into chapters, because right now the format makes it really difficult to skip through chapters when looking for specific parts.
Thanks for your input. In your elo they might start on the bottom half, but you are diamond. I'm about mid silver, so in my elo that doesn't occur as often, most of the time they start blue no matter which side of the map they start on.
I can change it to chapters, this was my first time using this style of BBCoding, I wanted to see how it looked when completed.

True but don't forget that it also takes down all your power in skirmishes and ganks pre-13
This is also true. If for some reason your counter-jungling goes awry, Nunu & Willump becomes very useless in fights.

maxing consume first makes you absolutely useless.
