I've played with those exact same runes, those exact items (altho' I never got the chance of finishing the build -- enemy team surrendering) and for me it worked like a charm.

Lux is a good champion both on lane and mid. Haven't tried jungling, I figure it's quite hard, but not impossible.
Regardless of the lane you're on, your team should always support you and, if possible, feed you with tons of kills.
The build is quite expensive, but a decent player who can tell two spells apart can farm quite easily.

Prismatic Barrier isn't as useful as I thought it'd be, but it's a spell nonetheless

Shift+4 is excruciatingly funny and is always a good way to paint a smile on one's face.

Hints:
-You lack Hp so people will tend on focusing you, and you will get killed without a decent team (stunner,slower,disabler,tank,w/e)
-Add at least two situational items (armor,magic resist)
-When retreating to tower, try getting the two golems or wolves til the minions get to your tower as many times as you can (this will ensure a decent income if you can't last hit creeps)
- There are alot of Summoner spell combos that can work on Lux, for example
-- , (yours)
-- , -- if you aren't sure your team can help out and you have to manage all by yourself when ganked.
-- is always welcome as it not only slows movement speed of the targeted enemy, but incoming damage to you, too.
-- can work nicely if you plan on switching lanes in order to defend towers.

Thanks. I know the build lacks HP, we talked about it, if you remember. But this build focuses on nuking the enemy before it can reach you, granted you have a decent enough team. If not, well, bad teams = bad results no matter the champion you're playing or the build you're trying. And enough with the Cleanse/Flash combo, you're killing me! =)

As for the glyphs, I don't know, call me noob but I don't think that they make that much of a difference. I play with those runes and I think they're just fine, but maybe that's just because I don't fret that much about things like that. I tend to focus on the bigger picture.
