Learning to play Master yi
Yi is very reliant on his Q. Most people make the mistake and use it as a gap closer, which isn't the case in most scenarios. A good yi player uses his Q as a way to dodge, say a TF gold card. If you Q Tf in the moment where his gold card is flying at you, will will dodge it completely. Although, this doesn't mean you shouldn't Q to a immobile adc such as jinx when she's alone or when you're ganking say level 3 or 4.
I usually gank at level 3 when I have my red buff and ghost, and I normally go Krugs>Red>Raptors>scuttle>bot. You should clear that at about 3:45 to 3:50.
Try to get 60 farm in the first 10 minutes, if you do this, it doesn't matter if you havn't ganked or got any kills. Yi is a power farmer in the jungle, so the most gold he gets, the stronger you become. I'm not advising to not gank, but ganking pre 6 is nearly impossible without set-up and red buff, and people setting up in gold under is something you're going to see.
