Actually I've been working on something else other than Sunfires quite some time now, like Thornmail and a little more AP focus and such. My latest Update made him go for Force of Nature instead of Sunfire to start out with, that seems to be the best choice. After that maybe I'll go Randuin's (I have yet to view the patch notes, I know they are going to nerf it) and Thornmail with a little more focus on AP.

What about Haunting Guise or a freaking Warmog's Armor? (I think they buffed it).

Had 3 quick games with your build (aproximately, i went slightly heavier magic resist) and I gotta say ...
Awesome.
24-2-21
19-8-19
8-2-9 (they surrendered).
at the first game i had 315k damage and 297 minion kills as well.
I entered a lane and champs SCATTERED. It felt just so OP...
They nerfed Kaiser into power :)
Thanks for the guide. I change it every game, but the rules apply each time.
You rock

I'm starting to wonder if I should take Hextech Gunblade or Abyssal Mask, It's hard to say. But then again, it doesn't really matter. In the end, people need to see for themselves what they need.

So.... are you changing it again with the new patch? :P
I understand if you don't, there's barely any changes, but I feel there's more incentive for Rylai's and Abyssal than for Randuins and Frozen Mallet (in general, obviously R+FM still works in certain situations...)
I agree, Rylai's seems to be the leading item now.. although I am still a bit sceptic on Abyssal's part but I understand the concept. My guide has been wrecked by patches, not by that *cough*misleading*cough* review. If it wasn't patched like this, I swear I'd still hold on to trinity.

But the guideline comes first, and I'd say the description is still viable so not really any problem other than what it looks like. I can't really move past it until the bastard replies, until then have fun with Un4given's guide.

You do know he completely ignored the description, he only reviewed the build and not even that.
Who wouldn't be a little grumpy about it? That's why it "misrepresents" the build itself : (

Honestly, I've never really had a word in this.. I mean it's right there, just try to take him seriously for a moment and you get: "I have nothing good to say about this build". 3/10 doesn't exactly mean it's viable, so basically he thinks Sunfire-Morde, w/ Sorc boots, suck. Ignore the outdated Trinity, and the Hextech that was never meant to be purchased. This concerns just about any Morde I know except for the CDR build. Which means? Yeah, he is a total ****-up. He ignored the fundamentals of reviewing such a build. I could go as far to say, I do not accept that review as a review to one of guides; It doesn't follow the guideline nor does it follow the actual build, in otherwords: He is trying to make it look bad and so he feels to urge to MIS-REP-PRI-SENT the build by not following the guideline nor the actual build. "I find that with this build, you have to kite a lot more".. where does it say that? Why, I mean you have.. oh just 1-Sunfire, yeah.. actually you are suppose to stay up close to everyone with 2-Sunfires. <-- Prime example. That's where the real focus is, so please don't fall under the category of people who thinks the build suck because of 1 outdated item, and 1 item you were never meant to purchase.

He simply reviewed my build (not even that), without asking questions on certain doubts he had on reasoning behind doing what I did and how you are supposed to play Mordekaiser when doing this build. Which is why this is such an out"rage~".

However; I respect the guy for standing up and telling me my "work" is ********, really, that's the only reason I haven't lost all faith in him.

Well.. first off...
Morde aint a real tank, he has no tanking capabilities except his shield..
and second off...
Mid-Game into your vid mate, you are saying that you are taking alot of damage, and saying that it's the builds fault in general as its not a "tank morde perse" Well lets look at the movie...
1. You do not charge up your shield upon running in.
2. You walk into Veigars Cage
3. Silenced is your excuse, no it isnt.. and complaining on the build is a flawed concept of urs... nothing else... as you wouldnt have been able to get your shield up with a tank morde either..
4. They have 3casters, and you have the general Core items, you can still Think for urself as to what you should make in the core.. Banshee's Veil anyone?
5. Not using Creeping Death is essential to playing any morde, which you failed to do in your video.
Im a level 30 and i use this particular build in every match with my morde, and tbh, ive had more triple kills and delayed quadras with it than i have with most dps classes as for the sole reason people thinks morde is a pure tank champ when he aint. he is a pressure tank and to play him properly takes more than a build.. I saw your replys on your video, so what im saying prob doesnt mean anything to you.

Yes i know that you were ment to be using THIS build, but tunnel visioning upon that thought wont save your day, they are core-items and they give you enough armor(dont forget ironman) so you only need the MR from Banshee's or Abyssal..

The movie was fine in general, you play decent enough but nobody is perfect..
Other than that, good explaination, except as Alahric said you misinterpred a few things here and there..

First of all, you do know that we all build Mordekaiser a tank in the general direction. I like the review, but you misrepresent the reasoning. Deadliness was just suppose to add up to Trinity Force, instead of 10AP at level 18, the Dodge Runes has been said to be the best survival seals as 1 dodge > Any health rune. The Masteries are 9/0/21, which is kind of odd, yeah.. but if you compare the bonuses it's a little better than some of the stuff that goes up the defense branch.

I can see you don't like the Heat 'n Serve concept, as Doran's Shield, Sorcerer's Shoes, Sunfire Capes, Force of Nature was probably one of the best ways to do it. After that I figured he could use a little more ***** with Trinity Force, Hextech to help the Ignite and CotG combo to burst down your target, and Elixirs if you don't have anything to buy.

I recommend looking at this build, it's sort of what I'd call an extended version and a bit more acceptable in terms of "normal" build. It has the same concept, but just a little tankier with Frozen Mallet. However you got fed, and you even got hextech which is just luxury for the sole purpose of helping you burst down your target. You even got 18/7/10 which is a pretty good score, I know you said it looks like a good build but you keep misrepresenting it. Just try it out, and you'll see..

I'd love to see your tank Mordekaiser, cause you are saying Sunfire is not a tank item and you don't really underline the fact that Mordekaiser is all magic damage. Let's see what I usually get:
<- Wait, I'm telling you guys this is not a tank build.. yet it is?
That's why I'm confused, cause in a nutshell it really is. When I say Semi-Tank, it's not only because I do not dedicate myself for tanking, but also because Mordekaiser can't tank the higher ups. Without any CC like Stuns you can't save your allies, which is what a good tank should do. You can only suck up damage which otherwise have been directed to your teammates. However if you focus only on tanking you will be turned into a useless meatshield that gets ignored, in otherwords this build helps you draw attention to yourself (Sunfire, burst damage). If people focus you, then you have already won unless you lasted like 5 seconds. Oh, and.. why didn't you use Creeping Death whenever you had the chance? It's essential for the build to work perfectly.

Descriptions and reasons for doing what I do is all that matters, playstyle is individual and I can only give you a few tips to guide you along the way (-> descriptions). This means they need individual builds, which again is why I've posted optional items for the player to adapt the build (all of us do minor adjustments no matter what). But if you don't like Sorcerer's Shoes and Sunfire then I can't do **** for you, I recommend the CDR build in that case.

My last note is kind of made me sad; you didn't buy the second Sunfire Cape. Not only do you feel squishy, but you also gave people the flase idea of Hextech being a key item. Not to mention you are missing that 160 AoE DPS <-- which is? yeah, essential. I've never really gotten Hextech myself, I thought it was strange at first but now I see.. Still, thanks for the critique and the effort you put into both trying out my build and even making a commentary about how bad it was. Eh.. no I seriously mean that, good criticism is hard to get and it only helps improving ourselves. Sorry for the huge wall of text, still do reply but don't get me wrong..

SHORT YOUTUBE REPLY:
Mace of Spade changed last patch, trinity force is no longer viable.
Hextech was never meant to be purchased, it's just the icing on the cake.
MP goes hand in hand with Mordekaiser, and Sunfire Capes.
- You didn't buy the 2nd Sunfire, and you never used Creeping Death.
- Meaning you lacked the 160 AoE DPS which is essential to the build.

Everything else has been mentioned, you basically ignored my description.
Oh, and I'd love to see your tutorial and rip on it.. I mean "review" it.

don't know if ur runnign on US servers or EU ones mate..
But getting fed as morde is easy if ur team just have a decent and working team composition..
i ran 27-2-11 yesterday with this build and abyssal+rylais ofcourse to up the dmg on sunfires..
Just gotta say, i went up against Shaco, Akali & Soraka in a 3v1 situation, and i just gotta say if u play a decent mrode u are unstoppable late game when it comes to survivability and dmg output aoe wise, and sometimes single target aswell, but movement is key to keeping ur shield up..
i can just say that after akali jumped me and popped shroud she died in the shroud at the same time as soraka, then it was only popping ignite + ulti on shaco and it was over..

Tip: if you are in a tightspot, start movign back from the fight and turn fast to put up Siphon of Destruction, to recharge ur shield...
A dozen of times people have tried tower diving me just to see that my shield actually went up again, and now they got a angry tin can + a tower hitting them :p

Rylai's Crystal Scepter: by far surpasses FM now btw mate ;)
Ive tried with both, and nothing beats RcS as far as im concerned..
Just a simple tip..
And going with Abyssa for me is a must..
Gives ur Sunfires more damage aswell..

With my build i generally have 500dmg hits on players, med armored ones and somewhat higher on squishies..

Try it out with both rylais and abyssal mate, other than that this is the same build as im using!

Good Guide as normally Alahric =)
