Love the title of this guide. My question is: Why not spec into CDR points in your defensive mastery tree?

This build is a little all over the place in terms of where you'd want your true damage output to be in. Your item build doesn't really a strong core build, it's just a lot of health, 40% magic pen and a random ghost blade flung into there. I think that you should rethink this build a little more.

You should try to utilize Blunt Force Trauma a bit more then for just pushing turrets. I also do consider looking into building mundo with an Atma's Impaler to synergize with all the health items you're already getting in your current build. I really do recommend swapping out your boots for mercury treads as well. It goes hand in hand with the cc reduction you get from your Heart Zapper and can really save your life in a pinch. I also recommend playing mundo solo top if you plan to go with such a build, for you're going to need a lot of funding in order to obtain these items.


For your runes, they're a little lacking. Health is great, yes, but there are better rune choices out there. If you aim on upping the damage of your cleavers early game, I suggest getting Greater Mark of Magic Penetrationx9 runes, otherwise, try out greater mark of Desolation and go with the warmogs atma idea I suggested. Along with that, you should consider trying out Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed to give you the ability to chase fleeing enemies. If not, try out Greater Quintessence of Vigor to help keep you sustained during laning.


Just a few suggestions to help improve your guide a bit, though unfortunately, I really don't see eye to eye with the current build and strategy you have going for mundo.

Thanks for the input, magic pen runes are an option, I'm still a kind of a noob when it comes to picking the best runes but I do know that you max on CDR from items so that won't be needed. But I'm not sure how much magic pen is really best, but I figured since you get 50% from the items that would be enough and even with the ****py runes I have now I've been pretty successful with the 50%.

If you want to utilize his Cleaver, and aim to do this by using magic pen and CDR, wouldn't it be better to use different runes?

Like CDR/lvl blues, Magic pen red, magic pen Quints, (still vitality yellows).

Personally i'd never play mundo like this, but i wont vote since i haven't tried.
