Keeper of the ancient art of Wuju, Master Yi is a mystical warrior from the isle of Ionia. He descended from one of the few tribes dedicated to the preservation of Wuju, a martial art founded with the principles of absolute spiritual awareness of one's self and one's enemy. When the armies of Noxus invaded Ionia, Master Yi joined in the Ionian defense to fight the craven enemy, bringing his village honor through his unparalleled mastery of the blade. The ensuing battles ravaged the land, but no conflict inflicted as much horror as the day the armies of Noxus closed in on Yi's village. Left undefended, the village became the unfortunate test subject of the latest invention by an up-and-coming chemist, now known as Singed. The remains of the village that Master Yi returned to were so horrific that it remains a festering scar on Ionian history. To this day, no Ionian will ever publicly speak of what occurred.
After the Noxian invasion was contained, Master Yi fell into a deep isolation. For years, he trained morning to night, speaking to no one and refusing offers of consolation by fellow Ionians. The only thing stopping him from madly charging into Noxus battle lines headfirst was his pledge to keep the Wuju style alive. Even though he seethed with impatience, his rage became a tool for sharpening his practice of Wuju, developing stronger and deadlier skills for his eventual vengeance. The only thing that roused him was news of the League's formation, and Noxus's subsequent enrollment in the League. Master Yi now brings his mastery of the blade to the League of Legends with unflinching purpose: to avenge his kinfolk and end the predations of the Noxus once and for all.

definition of yi
Master Yi is one of the strongest hard carries in the game. This is mainly because of his ability to take single targets down rapidly with ease, and then moving on the the next. Everytime he gets a kill, all his cooldowns are refreshed allowing him to kill, and kill, and kill again.
[ACE!] Something a good Yi will hear often, the reason Yi is a very strong hard carry is after he wipes the other team, he can proceed by taking down all of their turrets. He's fast, he's strong, and he does a lot of damage.
The question is: Can you be consistent?
Consistency is the most important aspect of playing a carry. That's why you see bigfatjiji as the best player in LoL due to his ability to repeatedly carry his team no matter what the outcome the situation will always be him playing his best.
This is why I think defensive masteries, flat health quints, and a Doran's item are a must on Master Yi so he can survive the early game, farm up enough items, and proceed by carrying his team. Consistency prevails in this aspect, if you build him like coldturkey49 has presented to us.
Master Yi strikes twice every 7th attack.
There are many champions with better passives, but let's figure out how we can use this one. In early game, it can be used to deal surprisingly big dmg, attack minions so your passive icon info comes to "your next attack will double strike" (or sth like this) come closer activate wuju style and hit enemy. You can also alpha strike first and then double strike, effect will be even better, but do it only when u are 100% sure you will survive it.

Well that would be nice, BUT only first strike can crit, so you can deal dmg as from 3 normal attack mostly.
Master Yi leaps across the battlefield striking up to 4 enemies, dealing 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+100% of ability power) magic damage to each enemy with a 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60% chance to deal 400 bonus magic damage to minions.
Cooldown - 18/16/14/12/10 seconds
Cost - 80/90/100/110/120 Mana
Range - 600
This skill has second priority, mainly because cooldown is lowered after each point in it, and you want to jump to other enemies often.
Don't spamm it early game or even use to harass, it eats too much mana, use it only when enemies/minions are under your tower.
Good to know:
It's random who will you strike with it, except for that you will surely strike the target you clicked on (unless he flashes, teleports etc.). So you teleport to clicked target, if it will die, you appear in the same place you were while activating alpha strike.
Flash breaks it, skills like kassadin's riftwalk or shaco's deceive too, but you follow champions when for example: tryndamare is spinning through wall, tristana jumps, nidalee jumps.
You can also hack walls by jumping on a minion on the other side of the wall (that minion needs to be seen).
Also, you don't vanish from battlefield for animation time. It's like you stand invisible in the place you started alpha striking from, so better don't try dodging Ashe's crystal arrow with it. Every non marking skill shot can hit you if aimed in that place.
Master Yi channels, restoring 140 / 280 / 420 / 560 / 700 (+165% of ability power) health over 5 seconds. While channeling, Master Yi gains 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 armor and magic resistance.
Cooldown - 35 seconds
Cost - 70/85/100/115/130 Mana

Most games we will leave it and upgrade only if there is nothing other to upgrade, other abilities are more useful, but let's see what can we do with it.
At low lvls of this spell heal is super ****py, but you gain really huge amount of armor and magic resistance. So it's not actually heal, it's a SPELLBLOCK.
If you are facing Karthus, you HAVE TO give 1 point in it on lvl 4 instead of alpha strike. It saved me so many times that I can't remember. You just ran with 100 hp and you see that red noob thing above your head? Meditate! It will recover about 40 hp and his ulti will deal about 3 times less dmg than it would normally do. You will survive 90% of such situations.
When do we put 1 point in it? When you face enemies that deal massive amount of dmg with range abilities that has to fly to you slowly or just do dmg after time. So Karthus, nunu's ice ball, zilean's bomb, vladimir's ultimate etc.
Wuju Style - Master Yi becomes skilled in the art of Wuju, passively increasing the power of his physical attacks. Activating Wuju Style doubles the passive bonus damage for a short time, but the passive bonus is temporarily removed after the effect wears off.
Passive: Increases physical damage by 15/20/25/30/35.
Active: Master Yi can activate this ability to double its effectiveness for 10 seconds, but this removes the passive bonus until Wuju Style becomes available again.
Cooldown - 25 seconds
Cost - 40 Mana

About this 1 it has all been said. It is your most important ability except for ultimate, after upgrading it on lvl 1 your crit deals 190 dmg. Nice? Freaking awesome!!! :p
Highlander - Master Yi moves with unparalleled agility, temporarily increasing Master Yi's movement and attack speeds as well as making him immune to all slowing effects. Additionally, killing a Champion refreshes all of Master Yi's cooldowns.
Increases Master Yi's movement speed by 40% and Attack Speed by 40/60/80%, and he becomes immune to all slowing effects for 6/9/12 seconds. Additionally, killing a champion refreshes all of Master Yi's cooldowns, and scoring an assist reduce the cooldowns by half.
Cooldown - 75 seconds
Cost - 120/120/120 Mana
Range - Self
This is what makes yi a yi, you can't do quadra and penta kills without it. It's just unfair combined with youmu and ghost.
Good to know:
So you used R and E abilities and you killed a champion and your cooldowns are refreshed. In this moment, you get bonus dmg from both, wuju's passive and active, because it is activated and it is also ready to use. So when you go to another champion to kill him don't activate E again just after you killed previous one. Wait until active ends and then use it again. Same with highlander, don't use it all the time you see it's ready to cast, thx to this you will run fast longer, often meaning to get to that last champ for penta kill or not.

u can choose IGNITE,ghost,exhaust,heal
ignite for dps
ghost for fleeing or chasing and u can combo ghost exhaust hihglander and froaen mallet for ganking
heal to make u lane longer
ArP Marks, you want to maximize your damage by penetrating [hehe] armor.
Mana Regen Seals, you want to stay in the lane: combined with Doran's Ring you're set.
CDR baby! you want your abilities off cooldown: combined with Ghostblade you're set.
Flat Health, you want survivability early game.
use alpha strike on minions to farm and
when u are laned againts ranged players lvl up medidate
1st alpha strike then wuju style then highlander
or if the enemy is far and u want to gank highlander then alpha strike then wuju style
and if u have no ult use this combo alpha strike then wuju
pros and cons
- Great late game damage
- He can push quickly with Wuju Style and Highlander.
- He can wreck squishies in a short amount of time.
- Prone to being focused
- Is very easy to shut down with blind
- Champions with high armor can shut him down, such as Rammus.
How to counter cons?
- For being squishy and being focused, buying a Frozen Mallet helps as well as waiting for the CC's to be used.
- For disables, picking up a Quicksilver Sash helps with the disables.
- For champions with high armor, buying a Black Cleaver and other Armor pen items help.
Remember, never ever initiate a teamfight. You come in as an assassin, when they least expect it to wipe their team. Master Yi is a great carry and with time, experience, and the playing of this guide you will learn how to consistently win games. [But most importantly, have fun!] You'll find multi-kills are quite fun.
