Playing Azir Top Lane is kind of weird but fun. Similarly can catch people off guard with his poke. That is why enemy champs are going to try to gap close. Don't be afraid to play on your tower for safety or message/ask for help in chat to gank an enemy player up top.

One of Azir's downsides especially early game is his small HP pool the runes and build items help counter this weakness and this can surprise enemy players later in the game that try to 1v1 you.
