I appreciate the...erhm, "feedback" from you PsychShade. However, you are a great example of the point I made throughout my guide. People have a million ways to play Zed, but guides have focused on only a few (much like your guide). My guide is made to give light to the way I personally use Zed, and it works for me. Now, don't take this as me attacking you (I promise that isn't the case), because there are some things I need to think about, especially with the implementing of this new patch. A lot of this critique will be helpful for me to use to update my build. HOWEVER, I feel like the basis of a lot of your points is invalid based on your own build for Zed. Sure, It might be easier for me to get rid of Youmuu's Ghostblade and just get 2 Black Cleavers, or beef up on another Bloodthirster instead of grabbing Infinity Edge. However, It is hard to take this criticism from someone that uses Trinity Force in their build. I don't even have to explain why that is a bad item for Zed. Also, Zed doesn't fall into the true ADC category, but he is still an effective carry for a team. I'm not wasting the time to explain that, because it is non-traditional and I explain my reasons in my guide. If you don't agree with it, that's fine, but that doesn't make me wrong or you right. Next, the damage output is maximized if you strengthen your damaging abilities before living shadow (even with the AD boost). I made my selections in my build out of careful experimentation, and what paid off for me. Once again, I do appreciate your input, and I will take some time in the near future to add the things I liked to my guide. But, a lot of your criticisms are really just your own projection of opinion, showing that you really didn't read the guide (shame on you).

I liked it and I had a decent score with it last time I played. I died too much end game but alot of that was due to lag or getting caught out of position. I'm not sure if I agree with the Youmuu's Ghostblade but I don't know what to replace it with really so I kept it in there for now. Will probably end up changing that one though. Like I said the build looks good and hopefully it will continue to get better. BTW here's my last match with this build...

I have to disagree with some of the things I saw in this build:

Zed is an AD carry: Ermm... no? Maybe you don't know, but an AD carry, is a champ whose early game is extremely focused in farming, gets AD/crit/AS items, and kills entire enemy team almost only with Auto attacks.
Zed is completely reliant on his kit to make kills. Have you ever tried getting in melee range and kill anyone only with autoattacks? You CAN'T do that. Zed's role is assassin, he must get in the teamfight, insta-delete their carry/AP carry and get his *** out of there before he dies, unless the TF was successful, and enemies are fleeing. Conclusion: Zed is NOT an AD carry.

Itemization: You don't even explain why did you pick most of items, and explain why are those good for Zed. For example, Youmuu's Ghostblade. Why? I used to get it, but realised it isn't really worth for him, and less now, because you can upgrade The Brutalizer into a Black Cleaver, which benefits Zed much more than Youmuu's Ghostblade does. Zed isn't Autoattack reliant to kill, and so, the attack speed boost is almost useless, and so the critical strike chance. Same for Infinity Edge, the AD it gives is lower than Bloodthirster's. Conclusion: bad itemization or bad explanation for it.

Other points: Why max Living Shadow last? It gives you a HUGE AD boost, and it's the only skill (with ult) that has not static cooldown, and so it benefits more leveling it 2nd than doing Razor Shuriken or Shadow Slash. The Lethality mastery doesn't benefit you because Zed doesn't crit, and you aren't Autoattack reliant (as stated before). Also, you could really improve your build's visual look and your language (I barely saw nothing but sh*t and f*ck everywhere). BTW, the fact that Zed has already an in-built blink doesn't mean that it's useless for him. Ezreal for example has also an in-built blink, still picks flash. Why? Because it can REALLY save your life more than once, and pick up fleeing enemies when normally you wouldn't be able to.

Don't take all this criticism as blaming your build because it's horrible or nothing. I'm just making you notice lots of things you could improve in your build. I know this is probably your first build, and you can improve it a lot ^^

Now, like you said this guide "is not for everyone," but there's a lot of quality information here that is then backed up. I think you addressed a lot of misconceptions people have about Zed and do believe this is the, if not close to, optimal way to play Zed.

In the future, as you build upon this great start, I think it would be worthwhile to add pictures and what-not. Simply because if you want to have a successful guide, you need to make sure it is attractive to a larger number of players.
