Boots: I take boots because i dont think its good enough to take like a wriggles lantern or a spirit of ancient golem because it just takes to much time and gold to be worth it.
I would either take ninja tabi or mercury treds depending on the damage on the enemy team but sometimes mobility boots work well too.

Early giants bealt: Olaf works well with some early sustain because of his E overall.


Atmas impaler is a really good item on Olaf because it allows him to build tank and still be offensive.

If you have full build , red pots will help you alot since it stacks with atmas

When your ganking you just Q,E,W (maybe ult) and always pick your axe up.
If he tries to escape you, then you could tower dive because Olaf has great tower dives and can easily get the kill without taking to much damage.

at the top it says that with this build Olaf will have 290 ad but i tried this in-game and i have gotten 400 ad so something wrong there. :(
