Hello this is my first guide so bare with me lol.


I think Olaf is a very underestimated champion in solo top, which also makes him underplayed. The fact that he's underplayed also, in turn, means not many people see him played to his full potential at all. Leading to no one realizing how underestimated he is.

In reality, a well played Olaf is more than capable of stomping solo top, even at high elo. I am not personally a high Elo player myself but I constantly use Olaf top lane and have a decent win ratio of at least 85%
This proves that not only is olaf Olaf viable, but he's also capable of being a very strong solo lane if played well.

There are mainly 2 reasons for this:

1.. He pokes well than most other solo top laners. Giving him an edge for awhile, get a single kill and he's already won his lane.

2. He's extremely good at catching out enemies when they're out of position and punishing them when they make mistakes. Both of these occur often in solo queue.

3. Olaf is by far stronger than people recognize, and I find it quite fun to abuse him in solo lane. He's easy to get fed with, and once you're fed, he's easy to carry with. More so than with many other champions, and you'll learn how later on.

His viability is further proved by the fact that he constantly pops up on the highes win/ratio if fed solo top for Olaf will be in, showing that a well played Olaf is a deadly Olaf.

Oh, and if you're looking for a fun game to get out of boring old solo top laner's, Olaf could be your man.

Marks: I take flat Armor penetration marks because flat Armor penatration is stronger early-game than flat AD and and for Olaf.With Olaf you'll want to abuse his strong early-game pokeagainst solo top laners. However, Flat ad marks can be chosen aswell, and I like to take these because you only lose out on 4 AD, but gain 5 armor penetration, which will slightly boost your late-game power. With them, late-game your full flat armor penetration will be 40 with a full build.
