Hello Summoners! First I want to mention that I DON'T jungle, I never will jungle, and you shouldn't either... Or I will hunt you down and assassinate you! This is NOT a jungling build, therefore I wouldn't recemmend you using this build if you are jungling.

Now then, lets get started shall we?

Now, some of you may be asking yourselves... why, out of all the LoL characters to choose from, would I choose Olaf?

Well... He has to be one of my favorite classes who can steamroll ANY carry in the game (atleast with this build).


Another day in the lane of Ashe and Teemo...

UNTIL!

A wild Olaf appears!

Teemo: "Who is this guy? Wtf Olaf?"
Ashe: "OLAF SUX GTFO! Eat arrows!"

Olaf spots a huge arrow from afar

Olaf casts Ragnarok, and activates Ghostblade!

Ashe: "... Omg... what is he doing... No... NOOOO!"

Olaf casts Undertow. Critical hit!

Ashe faints! Olaf loots 5gp.

Bent Over, at half health, Olaf looks up... only to see Teemo running to the nearest tower. In a quick reaction, Olaf casts Ghost. And throws his axe in rage!! Teemo becomes slowed just enough to get one shotted by a enraging Reckless Swing.

Teemo faints. Olaf loots 6gp and a dart gun.


Now then, where was I? Oh right... Why Olaf? Muahahahaha!

The easiest part of playing a character is picking the proper items needed to succeed. The hardest part however, is the order in which you buy them! Your style of play also effects this of course, but the order I chose is essential mainly because of one thing. And that is survivability!

I start out with a . This makes the begining laning a breeze, due to the extra armor and HP it has to offer. 100 hp makes a huge difference when laning against 2 aggressors.

After, I try to rush . If you are forced to go base before you have the full price of 920, buy the first. Then b when you have enough for the full peice.

Directly after I get the boots, I rush both , and . Giving me a whopping extra 610 hp. This is handy, because it allows more tower dive oppertunities. They'll never be expecting a level 8 Olaf to be able to tank a tower with only Half HP. :D

By now, you should be pretty tanky for just a bruiser. Now we focus on . standerd item order, for the crit, then just finish it off. A pro tip that I find easiest is to keep it on my fourth bag so that when I click "4", which is right above my "r" ability, I can activate it with ease. It prevents you from forgetting it's there, which often you may.

Now just finish off your . The slow is handy, but not necissary before your Ghostblade. The HP was the main concern early game.

After that go with Lifesteal. Any lifesteal would work, but I normaly get due to the Attack speed and the group buff.

So, in recap!

: This is an extremely handy spell. I've said it once, I'll say it a thousand times! YOU... NEED... THIS!! *Drools* It's a secondary ghost with lower cd and built in Attack Speed! What could be better?

: This item is amazing aswell. As Olaf, AD isn't too important, considering 'e' doesnt stack it's damage at all! Though this can be annoying, the true damage makes up for it. That's why Attack speed, and health is more important to me.

: Life steal and attack speed is important. And that's why this item is essential late game. Because you wont get 'W' until q and e are maxxed, you will need a bit more survivability to prevent you from b all the time.

The only item that I would possibly substitute is , but I do enjoy the extra crit/AD. We may not need AD, but it does help out our auto attacks. :3

Now then, let's move onto runes shall we?

Runes are a toss us of course. But heres how I like to build.
I like to go:

Armor pen. Marks/Quin - Obvious why. With Olaf being the ulti tank/carry killer, this is a no brainer.

Attack speed or Armor Seals - I go with Attack speed normally because with the high amount of hp you'll get from this build, and the armor from your masterys, you attack speed will be more vital.

As for spells I go with Ignite, and Ghost. Ghost + Ghostblade combo = gg. You always need one or the other for your ulti Ragnarok. Why you may ask? Because I said so! <--- I kiid. No, but seriously. It's all because ragnarok may be useless chasing, if you can't run faster then the other guy. Plus, with Ghostblade and the attack speed buff, you always can kill there squishy within seconds. Especialy even when your low on hp. Olafs Passive is RAPE when you can take advantage of it.
