Introduction

[*] Hi and welcome to Olaf, The Viking of Obliteration, a 3 vs 3 Build Guide.
In this build, i aim to take an advantage from all of Olaf's abilities, like Tough It Out that is Olaf's natural
Atma's Impaler. I think this build helps you create an Olaf that deals a lot of damage but still has a lot of survivability.

Masteries

For Masteries, i go 21 in Offense so that your Olaf maintains the damage output that only Olaf can do.
I go 9 in Utility are so that you have no problems to save a turrent, if you died or recalled, but also so that you may stay with the buffs from the jungle longer.

Runes

Greater Seal of Armor and Greater Glyph of Magic Resist are just so that you can old your lane better if you are being harrassed a lot early game.

The choice of Greater Mark of Desolation is because Olaf has a great damage output, and with armor penetration you can destroy their health bar easier.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage is so that you can start with a greater damage output.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

+ Good early game damage with Reckless Swing.
+ Great chaser with Undertow if you can land it.
+ Decimates carries with his "True Damage".
+ Can soak up a lot of damage and extremely hard to kill late-game.
+ More health = More damage thanks to Tough It Out
+ Great to help carry a team

Cons:

- Prone to early game harassment and easily kited.
- Mana problems early game when being aggressive without Blue Buff.
- No natural escape mechanism.
- Extremely item/gold dependent from all champions in the game.
- Can be focused
- Always will try to be ganked
- Does not benefit from AP in any way

Items

Normally, to start building a Wriggle's Lantern, i go for a Vampiric Scepter that combined whit
Tough It Out, gives you durability to stay in your lane longer. I choose to get an early
Wriggle's Lantern so that i can ward red and prevent ganks. The boots i choose are Berserker's Greaves because they give you the missing attack speed that combined with Olaf's passive and when you have the Frozen Mallet will not let your enemies escape. Frozen Mallet is so that you have more durability and for it's passive. Next, i get Sunfire Aegis so that you get extra damage from your
Tough It Out and because it's passive is also a good farming tool. Next, i go and get Atma's Impaler so that that health is not just for durability, but also for Attack Damage. My final item is
Youmuu's Ghostblade for more armor penetration, some cooldown reductiona and for a great active.

Gameplay

If you have a strong team and you gameplay with Olaf is nice, you can be a lifesaver.
An example: A teamfight erupts and the rest of your team is taking heavy damage. They fallback but the enemies are faster then your team. How to save them? Just go a bit ahead from them and send your axe
( Undertow) to slow the enemy and preventing your team from dieing.

To farm is really important early game. Try always hit the minions 1 or 2 times then wait to its low on health because your own minions are attacking them. Then make the last hit to always get some easy gold. In the time you let the minions do the job, always try to harass the enemy with Undertow or if they are near, with Reckless Swing

When you get the Wriggle's Lantern and if your team does not need you, you should try to do the jungle top and get the Red Buff. This buff when you don't have the Frozen Mallet yet will give you some great advantages.

Ragnarok is not as easy as people think it is to use. it is great to initialize with but dont waste it on someone who can easlily escape unharmed like kassadin with his ulti. use it as a great escaping tool

Summoner Spells

I choose Exhaust so that in early-game you can get any enemies and if the enemies late-game are being able to escape you easily, it will let you get to them if they go out of range. I also choose Ghost because thanks to Ragnarok, the enemie team won't get you easily since it is your personal Cleanse.
You can take Flash if you are having problems when you are using your ultimate.

Summary

I hope this 3vs3 Guide with Olaf let's you give the enemie a real run for their money.
