I've mained Irelia for a while and have mastered many other champs in my time playing league.

I recently tried this build as a suggestion from my good friend LS and it's honestly not as bad as i thought it was going to be. This build is a really fun new way to play irelia that takes you down a different path from her traditional build. It's quite a situational build but if you get the chance to play it I think you'll have just as much fun as I did.

So if you're looking for something to spice up your traditional Irelia gameplay then look no further!

Laning phase won't be much different in mid from top lane, with this build you want to emphasize good trades and mid-late game fighting.

You want to play it a bit safe until you get your level 2 at which point you can begin to make trades. To get trades off on Irelia you need to keep the enemy wave pretty hefty toward the middle of the wave or towards your tower.

Make trades by placing your first E on one side and the other on where they're going to go to ensure you get them caught. Trading usually relies on your ability to manage your stacks and mana to ensure you can pull off a trade properly by dashing from the wave you built up to get to them at decent stacks by resetting your Q.

Eventually after taking enough trades in your favor you'll be able to roam and help out one of the other lanes.

A major factor with this build is that it's going to help you push sidelanes and take one on one trades pretty well. Once laning phase is over you're going to want to be 1-3-1 or 4-1 with your team so you can get sidelane pressure in quickly and be able to respond to anybody that comes to stop you.

The major component in these sidelane fights is the Guinsoos coming in to play with outputting mixed damage and the bork being able to weaken your opponent in order to pull of the outplay on them and win the sidelane fight.

Be conscious of your team and if they are going to need you to rotate to the fight whether you have TP or not your high damage output and incredible attack speed with this build could be needed in order to put the fight in your teams favor.

While you do want to keep yourself in the sidelane as much as possible in order to get farm to accelerate your build as well as put pressure on the enemy to help your team secure objectives elsewhere.

Essentially this build is supposed to amplify the late game pressure of an Irelia to push harder for objectives and makes trades a little different. It's not always the proper build to go and it entirely depends on both your team and the enemy team but it can sometimes be a fun and unique way to play Irelia.

Encouraging mid-late trades is nothing new to Irelia but using this build really makes all the difference in HOW exactly you go about that.

Essentially it's a new path to take after the bork powerspike that Irelia has in her typical build path and it gives more of an emphasis on auto attack trading and outputting that damage using the insane amounts of attack speed you get from runes, abilities, and item passives.
