I permaban because her kit fundamentally shuts down ours, but Quinn and Kennen might be more of a problem for you
Champion Build Guide

This short guide is not meant to be a general Riven guide and assumes you know the basics of the champion, so I'm not going to detail the combos/tech and focus more on the overall gameplan.
The purpose of the starting item and rune setup is to give you the strongest level 1 possible, allowing you to dominate the laning phase and hopefully take that lead into the midgame and lategame.
To this end, my number one tip is to play around bushes level 1 in order to get a good trade off, Azhy style. Riven's level 1 is stronger than most other champions, but into match ups like

You should try to short trade when you're the same level as your opponent in order to bring them into kill range from one spell rotation. Be sure to stay aware of both your and your opponent's level up timers.
Many people try to play passive into ranged match ups level 1, but this isn't the best strategy on Riven. Play around bushes and try to chunk down the enemy with a fast Q trade if they walk up.
My gameplan is to get an early lead, then freeze/crash until I have

If the enemy jungle shows up, your laner should be too far behind in items/xp to help them or be stuck farming the wave. If you don't think you can double kill the jungler and your laner, wallhop to safety.
During midgame, take sidewaves and rotate to your team to join the fight and create a numbers advantage, stacking

In teamfights, don't initiate because you'll die instantly; try to find a flank angle and take out the backline, or join in the fight late with your ultimate and clean up the enemies.
