Introduction

Why GP SUPPORT? I'll tell you why. Think about it, almost 7,0 gold/10 seconds with runes and masteries, great incoming with relic shield, nice buff for ad carry, nice sustain on lane (YOU CAN TANK), nice ult which gives you great control on the map and you can go further destroying towers without worrying about minions (AND CHAMPIONS!) destroying towers.

Plus:
A lot of gold.
Very annoying nuke.
Nice sustain on lane.
E skill rises up movement speed and attack.

Down Size:
Not very useful on the beggining.
A lot of players will bug you for your choice.
I've discovered the perfect support first. Deal with it.

Skills

Grog Soaked Blade

Gangplank's basic attacks apply a poison debuff for 3 seconds that can stack up to 3 times. Each stack deals 3 + (1 x level) magic damage per second and slows the target by 7%.

Well, this passive is very useful. Besides the slowness, it enables you shorten the life of opponents with poison damage. However, do not count on this damage to make a big difference in team fights, use it for slowing down enemies and let your adc do the rest of job.

Remove Scurvy

Gangplank consumes a large quantity of citrus fruit which removes any crowd control effects on him and heals him for 80 / 150 / 220 / 290 / 360 (+100% of ability power).

Is pretty easy to relate with my skill choice. Healing for sustain and ganks, Buff to raise the chances that you or your adc (preferably) get some kills, and save your Q for last because you don't really need one more point until the game gets advanced. Every time you are caught for skills that let you slow, stunned or taunted, use W to heal and disable the slowness, stun or taunt. Also works great when being ganked or when Tresh decides to hook you.

PARRRRRRRRRLEY!

Gangplank shoots an enemy with his pistol, dealing 20 / 45 / 70 / 95 / 120 (+1.0 per attack damage) physical damage. Gangplank refunds half the mana used and gains 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 extra gold if Parrrley deals a killing blow. This ability can critically strike and applies on-hit effects, including his passive.

Well, this is the skill that will make the game of your adc. The Relic Shield works with Parrrrley and enables you to earn gold for your adc without you taking damage or gank by approaching minions. When you get the Iceborn Gauntlet, it will rise the slowdowns caused by Parrrley, facilitate the use of the Relic Shield, increase the chances of killing enemies and help in nuke, dragon, etc. Plus, it's super fun to scream really loud PARRRLEY.

Raise Morale

(Passive): Permanently increases Gangplank's attack damage by 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 and his movement speed by 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 %.

(Active): Gangplank fires into the air, disabling his passive boost but inspiring himself to gain an additional 12 / 19 / 26 / 33 / 40 attack damage and 8 / 11 / 14 / 17 / 20 % movement speed, with nearby allied champions receiving half that amount for 7 seconds. He regains the passive when the buff ends.

I do not need to prove how this skill can be beneficial to the whole team, but specifically for your adc is part of this guide. Increase the damage and movement speed of your ADC will cause it to turn into a machine to tear enemies to victory. Believe me, this skill is extremely useful in the middle to end the game for you, your adc and the entire team.

Runes

I've choose the runes above for these reasons:

1 - Gold/Second is my favorite rune/build for any kind of support.
2 - It's really easy to acumulate gold with GP, even if you are losing.
3 - Normally, you can go with defense and magic resist runes like me but, you can also choose to switch the magic resist for cooldown reduction. You need the healing skill a lot to make enemy team mad.
4 - Some people have told me to insert some damage. I strongly disagree. This is a support build, so support it.

It should be like this:

Masteries

I choose these. You can change if that's what you feel like.

Laning Phase

Early

Early in the game you basically will be hidden in the bushes and using your Q to help the adc to farm, you will earn extra gold from you and from killing the minion. When you reach level 3, the cure is at level 2 and you can start to be more aggressive, using the Q on the enemy adc (from time to time because you do not have a lot of mana before making sheen). Also, if support as leona, trash, Annie, Xerath immobilize you in any way, use your W to remove the immobilization, use Q in adc enemy, let them focus you, this will cause the attention on you and not be in your adc (then, first blood). IT'S THAT EASY!

Early - Mid Game (with Ult)

When you get your ultimate, you can help other lanes. Stay tuned for possible fights in the mid and top, use the ult to save an ally champion or to help kill an enemy. If the ultimate is on cooldown, use caution when trying to kill the enemies in your lane because you can not rely on the ult. The ultimate serve to help and not kill, plus, remember that your ultimate can be used with the Relic Shield! Probably at this point of the game you will already be equipped with sheen, then abuse Q. Harass the enemy adc, poke it, slap it.

Late Game

Just win.

The End.
