Hey mobafire!
This is my first guide here, so "bear" with me (gotta love those puns).
I decided to make this guide because i just bought Volibear and ofcourse there's a lot of quides here on Volibear already but i just thought that i would give it a shot now that Volibear is a new champ in the league.
First of all, Volibear is very versatile, he can go ap carry, ad carry and tank,
I prefer to play Volibear as a hp focused tank, this build will give u guidelines for building a succesful ganking tank.

Masteries are set after own needs, i just chose the above masteries because i like him as a allround tank, these masteries arent exactly NEEEDED, but i recommend using these masteries, since i've tried loads of different setups.

As well as the masteries, the items arent extremely needed to play a succesful Volibear, but as i play him, i can kill all champs belov 40-50% hp by pushing w and clicking the enemy, because of the bonus damage (20% of bonus health is added as physical damage).

Runes are very important for all kinds of builds, Volibear is great with all kinds of setups, though i again, recommend playing him with the above runes, because ive tried all kinds of builds with him, this particular rune-set is allround tank and just secures you a good start versus all kinds of champs.

The skill sequence in this build is focused on early game kills because: Early game kills --> late game pwn.

With this sequence you will get both damage output, knockback and slow, in early game that means securing the kills!

summoner spells are based on your own preferations and needs, i chose teleport and exhaust because these 2 summoner spells can both be used to get away, and catching up to a retreating enemy.

PROS:
High damage output by single skill
Gets away from every enemy
Awesome passive saves your life in every 1v1
Can catch up to any runnning chickin-like enemy
He is a violent pedobear!

CONS:
Slow run speed without his Q popped
Biggest damage output has 17 sec CD
He doesnt come in pedobear skin!
