hey nice guide for a first try <3 might i suggest though that you take some items like 
Zhonya's Hourglass so you can't get jumped on and be insta killed as well as some boot options depending on type of damage you are up against in mid lane as well as no need to take Absolute Focus but instead either Transcendence or Celerity because Sona ulti Crescendo gives up to 40% CDR at max rank and Transcendence gives more damage the more cdr you have which is also why Seraph's Embrace which is made upon reaching 850 mana from Archangel's Staff is so good because it gives a lot of mana, AP and cdr as well as a shield on your percentage of mana and for Celerity your E Song of Celerity will give you adaptive damage based on how fast you are moving so then very important items like Lich Bane is obsolete for her just because Lich Bane will also deal a butt ton of extra damage after using an ability so using Lich Bane+ Hymn of Valor+Auto Attack passive = the true 1 shot

nah don't worry about it, because of my build since i got sick of trying to boost my friend now that i kinda play on my own i have gotten to mastery 7, if anything Seraph's Embrace and Lich Bane are the two best items on Sona but for a Sona mid lane i would suggest getting a rabbadon's deathcap and always try to buy Elixir of Sorcery once you are full build to help assist with AP <3 <3
