The Atmas is for armor and damage. Merc treads are viable but I tend to fire more auto shots while either farming or fighting off melee. I'm not sure what you would take out for the
I also agree with the strat of going up top when you have your team come down. Read up on the last paragraph of the guide. It sums up my opinion of leaving bot :) When I play, I play for IP, so the longer the game the better. I try to hold and defend 3, but most of the time if you're kicking *** your team will push for 5. This leads to either a crushing victory or chaos. I know you've seen it. Hold 3 is the safer way to play and assure victory.
Let me know how the
By the way, usually I find myself having helpers on bot around mid-late, and I take my close to full built up top and they arent used to me being around up there and I rack up the kills. Can be a real game winner.
No warmog kinda messes up everything =/
Why are you wasting a mastery point in Spatial Accuracy when you don't have the Teleport spell, it would be wiser to get Perseverance. Expanded Mind is a waste of mastery points because even with the 3000 Mana Urgot will have with his full build, you are only getting an extra 150 Mana, which is inconsequential. Even spanning abilities you would be hard pressed to use all your mana. It would make more sense to get Awareness to level up slightly faster than your opponent. If you are just looking for more sustainability don't get Utility Masteries and go for defence getting full levels in: Hardiness, Resistance, and Strength of Spirit. You could even grab one point in Offensive Mastery to get rid of those pesky minions quicker.
Thanks for trying it out.... *cough*
XP matters but it kind of doesn't. In theory, your opponent at bot should be dead and not farming minion XP. With your opponent having bonus XP gain and you farming minions, you level at about the same pace, plus you have extra mana. It's not about never running out of mana, it's about your
As for not taking utility, 6 extra armor/MR isn't as valuable as less time dead, 30 seconds off promote and more mana. You have enough armor with this build... maybe MR might be helpful, but not enough to justify what you lose with utilities you drop. And you don't need help killing minions.
I'm not opposed to input, but try it out. Then comment.
Interesting build, and it worked well for me last night.
Had a Yorick *and* a Maokai bottom lane for most of one particular game, and not only did I hold my own, but was able to push back from time to time.
The only thing that I was doing differently was going ahead and taking basic boots to start, and Ionian boots my first trip back. Now, I'm not a very experienced player (only about a month under my belt), but I found that the increased movement speed was really handy to avoid skillshots, etc., but also to get back to bottom lane if/when I died. Also, the extra CDR let me get off that one last Q at times, which for me was needed.
I understand your point about not having to run all over, but even when I was able to stay bottom the whole match, it seemed just *way* too slow to not have at least basic boots.
Anyway, thanks a ton for the guide - it's helped me out immensely (Urgot humor...)
EDIT: Spelling and clarified something.
Thanks!
I've been thinking about getting some boots in here. I've been able to dodge most things without them, but I do know where you're coming from. There are some times where you might die at their bot and there's that silly Rammus spinning his way to your bot. That walk down to get to your bot takes forever. If anything I might remove the
As for you getting boots before your
