2 hour games?! you dont even know what youre talking about. i have thousands of extra gold left over with will after 35 - 45 minutes. and i am arguing it is better with THIS BUILD and this rune set, and this mastery. i never have a bad game with this build and gunblade is irreplaceable for the build.

Will is much better, 2 hour games don't usually happen, no offense.

Also, Gunblade is good on every single character in the entire game.

You can't say "gunblade is so bad" because it's not, but you can't argue that it's better than Will of the Ancients for an AP caster either.

and the point of the attack damage is not to help kill minions, is just an added bonus of everything else you get with gunblade. gunblade is my favorite item in the game and i just do very well when i use it, and when i dont, not as good. so i dont know what else to say besides it definitely is not a waste of money if its making my kill-death better when its in my inventory compared to will.

i dont understand all the comments on the gunblade. yes. will is cheaper and has the same spell vamp and AP. gunblade is just a better overall option even though it costs more. i get to the point in a lot of games with malzahar where i have tons of extra money so its not really an issue at least for me. so on top of the will's effects, with gunblade i also have increased attack damage, and life steal, plus the active if i really need it. i tested the will, and it is not as good, i just ended up replacing it with a gunblade and it made a huge impact. with the will i was going 9 - 3, then once i switch to gunblade, within the next 12 minutes i literally got 11 more kills. clarity is mainly for early game since this build is for a malzahar taking mid. and to shadowpalm, READ THE COMMENTS AND THE GUIDE, this is for a mid malzahar, and i also said that this is all my opinion and that this is what works best for me and that im just sharing it.

TBH this build can improve a lot more clarity shouldnt be needed since you already have your e and flash would make your combo a lot easier to hit + flash is OP. About gunblade i guess you could get it for the active and the spell vamp....but its not worth it :/

drop the gunblade tbh get a will if there is another caster in the gorup get them to get one more spellvamp is pro :P yes it does work just like 2 players with mm. btw by the time u get ur gunblade ur visions shud be able to wipe a full creep wave anyway with u not being there so having an atuo attack that can kill minions is not somthing usefull on malz tbh

first off, there is never an "always the best first choice". The naivete of this statement shows that you don't play more than below average. There are always variables.
second, gunblade is a waste with malzahar because you really shouldn't be attacking much after you start ganking. Malzahar has incredible AoE damage and investing so much more in Hextech Gunblade over Will of the Ancients is not worth it.

interesting twist with the hextech Gunblade. i like the idea behind it. the only thing that would concern me with it over will of the ancients is the cost. your paying another 1.5K in gold to get the attack. other than that, in my eyes its a good build.

I'm not going for solely spell vamp though, gunblade also gives 75 Ap and 20% life steal and 60 attack damage on top of that. this changes malzahar's auto attack into an attack that can actually kill minions and finish off champions at low health. The whole item's effects together is the whole point of it...not just the spell vamp. I was just pointing out to that one person that spell vamp does work like that and so does life steal. I know how to build him....I've tried every single possible build for malzahar, this works the best.

If you want spell vamp get a Will of the ancients lol. take a look at my guide if you want advice on how to build him. I wont grade your guide but i will give you my advice.

I really dont know what the hell yaw are talking about being a "bad" build for a mid build this is ****ing bad *** to be honest easy to end the person u are going mid against Ive seen this build used b4 and used this my self and to be honest it ****ing raped 28 kills 4 deaths and 15 assists just going mid alone so yea I would not see this as a bad build maybe yaw should read more into this so yea playing this my self i think this is pretty top ****
