AP Lux is a gigantic faceroll carry when played right.

That being said, she is a champion that relies heavily on player skill (4 skillshots) and this might override problems in a build.

I completely agree that Meja's Soulstealer is a core item for AP lux, as she is probably one of the best at stacking it and maintaining the stacks.

What i question however, is that due to complete lack of survivability, you being anywhere in range of Lich Bane to proc from an autohit is basically putting yourself in a suicidal situation. You also suggest Abyssal Mask as a defensive item but again, the MR will do far from enough to save you (as well as get 3 shotted by any AD carry). Perhaps it might be better to have an early Catalyst of Aeons and a rushed Rod of Ages. Then you can skip out on Clarity which, no offence, is terrible on everyone. Why not Ignite since you are building AP carry?

The build working for you is great, but having a delicate touch of survivability is essential in any build. Glass Cannons will lose out against opponents of equal or better skill 90% of the time.

Seeing how I play with you and lane with you about 90% of the time and how we usually win and carry the team. I would say that whatever you build and how you build is working. I would recommend to future Lux players that want to play her as a AP and not a support follow this guide.

Also, I don't build a Morello's Evil Tomb because stacks are easily attainable without dying. Also, this particular build is a maximum pure AP guide right now; with Mejai's, at full stacks, 160 AP is given and with Morello's, only 75 is provided. I'll be creating an alternative build for CDR later.

In addition to what IceCreamy said, you skilling order is broken. You cannot max a skill until level 9, and your order shows you maxing Lucent Singularity at 8.

Perhaps you'd like to exchange your Mejai's Soulstealer for a Fiendish Codex into a Morello's Evil Tomb. The cooldown reduction could help you a lot with those cooldowns you list in your cons section.
