Ravaged by Rune Wars long past, the lands south of the Great Barrier are wrecked by chaotic magical storms, leaving the grasp of nature's rule tenuous at best. While abnormal flora or fauna are the norm rather than the exception in these ruined areas, perhaps none is more curious than the case of Rammus. While no one is entirely certain why an armadillo from the Shurima Desert crossed the ***ungu Jungle into the Plague Jungles, Rammus made just such a journey. There, amongst the twisted vines and festering rot, he came across an oddity - a healthy evergreen hedge maze, stretching as far as the eye could see. As he explored the maze, something compelled him towards its center - a light, a presence of some kind. As he drew closer, the light surged, blinding him and knocking him unconscious.
When he awoke, Rammus' whole world had changed. The maze had vanished and he felt truly cognizant for the first time in his otherwise unremarkable life. As his predicament dawned on him, Rammus had a moment of panic. As he trembled, the earth around him began to shake, the intensity increasing until he managed to steady himself. As the quake receded, Rammus arose and left the Plague Jungles in search of others like him. His search brought him across all the lands south of the Great Barrier, but everywhere he went, he was unique. The hardships of this sojourn inspired him to craft the suit of armor that would earn him the title of Armordillo. Rammus's quest eventually drew him to the only place where a sentient armadillo is less than confounding - the League of Legends.
''I've seen a lot of things, but this... this is a first.'' - Ezreal, the Prodigal Explorer, after first meeting Rammus
Pros / Cons
- Great tank
- Almost undying
- Good at ganking and initiating
- His second skill can reduce karthus' requiem BY HALF!!!!
- Needs a little practice before trying to used at ranked games
- Needs NON-IDIOTIC allies
2 hearts of gold are useful to Rammus for farming in and out of the jungle.
Mercury treads are very useful to Rammus since it has 35% less CC effects on him.
Sunfire cape makes killing creeps and enemies easier.
Force of nature balances Rammus in case of high magic dmges.
Randuin's Omen is a great item to weaken enemies, helping the team to kill enemies faster.
The last item depends on your enemies. If they have high AD (like Tryndamere) go for thornmail. If they have high AP or too much CC (like Veigar) go for banshee's veil. If they have mixed high ad and ap (like Akali) go for guardian angel.
If you finished the 5th item you may sell the extra heart of gold to buy the last item.
If you want to jungle, smite is the most useful item for Rammus.
Powerball + ghost is great to travel from base to the half of the map and help your allies
Flash is another great spell to avoid collision with creeps while using powerball.
Teleport is another great spell in case you are too far from a clash.
Revive is often looked down upon by people, but on Rammus it can help his allies tank for a second time.
Exhaust is useful for chasing and killing.
Other possible combinations for Rammus' summoner spells may be:
smite + ghost
smite + flash
teleport + ghost
teleport + flash
teleport + revive
exhaust + ghost
exhaust + flash
Revive can only be useful to Rammus when combined with teleport
Creeping / Jungling
Jungling at the blue golem at lvl 1 needs a little practice, Smite, health potions, and help from a teammate that won't steal the buff.
If you dislike to buy health pots or avoid being raped at lvl 1, buy only a cloth armor then go to the wolves and kill them focusing on the big one.
The route for jungling without killing the blue buff is wolf --> wraith --> golem(w/o buffs)
The best way to kill both wolves and wraiths without going home is kill the wolf without using the smite, then go to wraith and use smite on the big one (since they have life steal).
After the wraith TP home then buy ruby crystal then go to golems.
After the golems you may tp home or go directly to wolves and wait to respawn.
Continue the cycle until you get a boot to start ganking.
By the time you have bought the second heart of gold you may get the blue buff but you will be needing all skills(including smite).
When you have the sunfire cape farming will be easy so I think no further explanation is needed.
Rammus is great for tanking in team fights, especially since he has a taunt which lasts for a long time.
Rammus is great for initiating, so show some balls and don't act like a caster who stands wayyyy at the back of the fight.
Also don't hope for too much kills since your a tank and don't try to KS your carrys. Assisting in kills is already an effective way to earn money.
Some people find it hard to farm using Rammus, especially when your allies steal your creeps.Try going to lanes at times but never stay and keep farming without warning your allies to play defense. Ganking is an effective way to earn some gold, even if it is just an assist.
Rammus' taunt helps the team very much, so keep ganking and try not to be greedy and dive the tower at lvl 3. Also choose wisely who to taunt, it is best to taunt high dmg enemies AND NOT THE TANKS. Try the build before rating and commenting.
