Not Updated For Current Season

The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.

Brute Force
Improved Rally

Offense: 0

Veteran's Scars

Defense: 21

Expanded Mind
Blink of an Eye
Mystical Vision
Presence of the Master

Utility: 9

Early Game

Start off with the Doran's shield for some extra health, armor, and health regen. Play defensively until you get taunt at level 4, then try to gank players with the help of your partner in your lane. But only try ganking half-heartedly if your opponents seem to have you on your toes. Get Heart of gold as fast as possible to increase the gold income slightly so you can get the more expensive items quicker. Teleport is a good spell to run back for a quick heal and items before porting right back in an instant. By the end of the early game, you usually will have the +3 Movement boots bought.

Mid Game

Mid game is where you play more of a key role. When you group up with your team, remember that you are a versitile player. But your primary goal is to keep your team alive, even if that means sacrificing yourself (But that usually doesn't happen unless you're really unlucky). If your team is all low on health and running and one of your teammates is behind you almost about to be caught by the enemy group, immediately turn around and Powerball right past your ally into the enemy and then turn and run with Defensive Curl active. The result usually ending up with your teammates and you getting away.

If your group and your enemy group is at a stand-off, that is one group hugging a tower and you're all engaged in a staring contest, walk forward cautiously and try taunting a foe and pulling him out. Focus on those with less maximum health, but usually any enemy will do.

When hunting for foes in the forest, whether it's solo or with a team, this combo usually works. Powerball into them, immediately taunt, Tremors, and Curl. When you have thornmail, this combo will be more effective when they are forced taunt attacking you.

Late Game

By late game, the build is pretty much over. Your armor is reducing alot of damage dealt to you and supplying alot of attack as well. The guardian angel will also make you a pain to deal with because 40% of your health counts for alot more when it's hard to get rid of it from armor. After you upgrade Heart of Gold, wait until you have enough gold to sell Doran's shield for Frozen heart for extra mana and cooldown reduction. Keep supporting your team and covering their retreat. That is your main objective.

When your leaving your spawn point and teleport is still on cooldown, Using powerball is a good idea. You will replenish the mana you speant back and your speed increases so you get out to the fight faster.

Heal is more effective with the armor since they can't reduce your health as quickly. So heal will keep you alive even longer than most other champions with it.

*Important information*
Rammus's passive, while really good, is secretly a trap in disguise. For if the enemy is extremely magic heavy, you are not a problem. When you are about to get boots, check the enemy. If they are heavily AP or have alot of CC, get the Merc treads instead (Duh). Now for the thornmail, only get if they have alot of physical dps carries. Otherwise, the bonus is wasted. So only get if they have a Yi, Miss Fortune, Twitch, Ashe, Etc. Otherwise, it is better to ge Banshee's for the magic resistance. Get Guardian for the revive and extra magic resistance and Armor and then what you think from then on.
