Introduction
Hello and welcome to the last Rengar Guide you will need for jungling.
I will start off by saying that this is my first guide and won't be as pretty and innovative as others. Please look past that as your main objective is to learn from this guide about how to play Rengar, not stare at it for days in it's ambient glory. That Being addressed, lets jump in!
To Be Completely Honest
You could get away with just reading the top with the Item Builds, Runes, Masteries, and Ability Sequence and jump down to the Mindset chapter.
The basic theme behind Rengar is to be an assassin. All the Runes and Masteries do is highlight those properties. A mix of Armor pen and AD reds to be able to not only damage the enemy but make more of that damage get past their armor. Armor yellows to have some defenses. Armor and scaling Magic Resistance blues to have more defenses. Lifesteal Quints to survive the jungle and fights.
Why you should always skip Jungler Items
Really? They suck. I'm not just saying that to say it, but it really is just better to start your build. But what about gold? After your first jungle clear, you should be able to get boots and long. You gank a couple lanes and clear the jungle again. B and buy, repeat, B and buy, repeat. With Rengar you have great clearing speed and after a few rotations of this you should have a decent amount of items and gold to kill champs with ease.
The Actual Items in This Build
Don't question me on these and DON'T CHANGE THEM. Hydra for sustain, damage, and faster jungle clear. Boots of swiftness for fast running but also resistant to slows. Last Whisper to get past their armor. Blade of the Ruined King is for dueling, team fight suitability as well as getting in as many AA's in between abilities. Guardian Angel is so you can get back up and kill people. Mercurial Scimitar is so you can take off the CC debuffs that will be on you. The last two items you can replace boots for if you need even more damage in team fights.
Playing as Rengar
You should always try to not initiate a team fight, if you must then use your ult to sneak in and start destroying people. You should never gank a lane without your ult unless the lane is really pushed towards your ally tower, as without your ult Rengar's ganks are poor.
Screw Bonetooth
Why set yourself back 800 gold to get a scaling item? It's not even that good, it makes Rengar's mechanics easier but you lose so much damage and versatility that it is really not even an option to buy. Unless you have an enemy Kha'Zix and you have never had the Head of Kha'Zix before, AVOID THIS ITEM.
Always Target the High Damage Dealers
This is not only a pride thing, but it also helps your team. It's pride because it shows you ARE better than them. They WILL be more afraid of you and they will in turn ALWAYS start second guessing themselves and make mistakes. Striking fear into your enemies. You help your team by taking out the high damage dealer and make sure they can't do any damage which will help win the team fight.
This guide is short, but tbh I felt that I should show the world how to play Rengar and be done. I don't want to go to in depth as I don't have the patience or time to do that stuff. I have highlighted the big things and in turn have given back to the community. If you need more help on HOW to play then go look at a youtube video. As for me, I will enjoy my Gold tier skills with Rengar. TO THE FIELDS OF JUSTICE!!!
