I'm Maleef, playing Riven as my favourite character!
To introduce me first, before my picked champion, I have to say, that I'm not a palyer with a high elo and thousands of wins, so don't believe this is a build of an expert. I Play League of Legends cause it's fun, never learnd to play ranked even if I'm level 30! For me riven was and is one of the strongest top laners ever. (Last: sorry for mistakes in writing; I'm german :D !)

To introduce Riven; it's a strong and aggressive top laner. I would never play her bot lane or on a two-champion-toplane! Her shield in connection with jumping forward and the stun is one of the best combo for a top lane I think! Riven is born to be an offtank, simultaneously against much of allegations be a champion with attack speed!

Marks: For the Marks I use "Greater Mark of Armore Penetration" because often you'll get opponents like Darius with a high armor! In connection with "Last Whisper" you get more armor penetration to hurt your opponent!

Seals: For Seals I use "Greater Seal of Armor" simply for more defense against all incoming damage!

Glyphs: For Glyphs I use "Greater Glyph of Magic Resist" for the same reason as before! To get more defense for incoming damage!

Quints: For Quints I use "Greater Quint of Attack Damage", so make damage as a full ad champion! :)

Farming with riven is not so complicated as some of you would think. It's right, Riven is slow in attack speed, but with my build it's a bit different! ;) So you should play passive for the first three level,getting all skills one time and try to lasthit every minion! Farming is very important cause you gain more experience and gold for items!

First I use flash cause it's always important, you can escape from fights, ultis or can join a teamfight through walls and so on. Moreover you can finish a fight, flashing through a running opponent!

Ignite is nice if you could use it in the right way. Ending a fight with a running opponent, or ignite an opponent in a 1 vs 1 to survive! In connection with masteries you gain 5 attack damage while cooldown!

To start with Riven I buy a "Doran's Blade" for attack damage and health!

To my favorite build I have to say: yes, i buy a Phantomdancer for her, first because of critical strike chance! Second because of the 50% attackspeed that Riven gains with it, to get more damage in short time to opponents. I made good experiences with it, so I want to share them with you :)
