Aatrox is vulnerable to Q poke, max Q then W, but build tank or DS, don't go AP, try to not get caught by his Q3 and W. [Keep in mind aatrox Passive heals when hitting champions mostly]
Akali
If you're unlucky, you get akali TOP :D
Build AP or simply max Q and play safe, she's vulnerable to poke, winnable, but not really a joke.
Camille
Camille's trading pattern is perfect, however, if you max E, you can time it when she tries to stun you, make sure to damage her before her passive shield is applied, camille will most probably build DS against a tank like you, so if you want to keep the lead against her, play it safe until you also get DS, very winnable, yet not easy either, mostly skill matchup.
Cho'Gath
Completely invulnerable to your poke, in this matchup you will have to Max E Q and DEFINITELY go for DS, it's a very deadly item to face for Cho Gath, it does very high damage to him and heals you back of big amounts, will make you harder to kill for everyone and also a threat for Cho'Gath.
Darius
Darius is very slow when his ghost isn't up, simply max Q E and build tank.
Dr. Mundo
Mundo is definitely EXTREME, he absolutely counters Malphite, his Q has a lot of magic damage, he has got nice sustain and base HP Regen to nullify your poke, you might want to max E and have a good clear, try to roam, don't try to kill him unless your jungler is fed and can delete him, all you should do is focusing at roaming and clearing waves without taking so much damage, or he can freely dive and kill you with his passive, remember you can't even knock him up.
Gangplank
Even if his W gives him enough sustain, most of GP players will build Crit, starting with essence reaver, then going for Shieldbow, before he gets his Shieldbow tho, he's pretty vulnerable to poke, make sure to not get hit by many barrels, if you manage to get melee against him, try to dodge or even break the barrels before he explodes them, dont engage him.
Garen
Invulnerable to poke and a bit dangerous to trade against, but extremely easy to play safe against, go tank and farm, chill lane phase until it will be your moment to win with your R in teamfights or to secure objectives.
Gnar
Gnar, little guy is VERY countered by Malphite, he's vulnerable to poke, he uses auto attacks so cripple also is a threat for him, your W gives you insane amount of armor and mega gnar does ONLY flat physical damage... This little thing has no way unless you don't survive till first or second back.
Gwen
Now, before talking about the matchup, don't down vote the guide for this, but Gwen isn't hard for Malphite...
Max E Q, but buy divine sunderer, take fleet footwork, 1 ATK Speed - Adaptive Force and MR.
Good luck.
Illaoi
Is this even a champ?
Tries to harass in lane, but can't without hitting E, just move and she doesn't deal damage to you, she might try to negate some CS but it's nothing deadly, get your sunderer as she will do and take her down without mercy.
Irelia
Extremely strong at low levels, but falls off a bit once you get Bramble Vest and Plated Steelcaps, make sure to not get caught when her passive if full stacked, do short trades.
Jax
Auto attack only champion and vulnerable to poke.
I want to be honest, you can go by preference about maxing Q or E first, just make sure to not fight inside his E and wait for ganks.
Jayce
lol, look at his face xD
Q max but build tank, he will die like a cockroach.
Kled
Dangerous early, but his aggro can easily be stopped with E, not worth maxing Q and trying to poke a champion with such high HP, building DS is a considerable option in this matchup due to Kled's high HP, but Sunfire Aegis works aswell, just depending from enemy teamcomp.
Lillia
Lillia has tons of movement speed, she's insane as kiting, and she's also going to do only magic and true damage, which hurts Malphite a lot, a good Lillia player can stomp you hard and negate you a lot of CS, this is probably worse than fighting Dr.Mundo, however, she doesn't have very much sustain so she kinda feels your Q poke, and if is greedy or does a wrong move, you may be able to get a kill, but other than that, exactly like with Mundo, I would recommend to try farming much as possible without dying, then roam when possible, your ult is still dangerous and can make you win the game.
Malphite
Bruh, if you're playing blind pick for some reason... Skill matchup, who doesnt build meme AP wins.
Maokai
Hello divine sunderer, hello bramble vest.
But whatever... Maokai is off meta anyway right now...
Mordekaiser
After collecting more and more data about this matchup, the final result is even.
Make sure to max E, start dorans shield and take fleet footwork, it will give you enough sustain to survive and even trade if you manage to dodge his Qs abusing your Q movement speed buff.
Nasus
Now here's a weird one, i recommend to go with burst rune setup and to build sunderer, try to bully him as early as possible, keep good vision so you wont die of ganks, get much lead as possible and win the game quickly.
Olaf
?
Ornn
High magic damage, good CC, very tanky goat, Id personally recommend E max, clear waves fast and farm much as possible, your teams or your roaming will say who's the winner.
This goat is my 2nd toplane pick btw :p
Hi Ornn Mains.
Quinn
Press Q, get bone plating, have fun.
Jokes aside tho, care at lv 6, she roams a lot.
Renekton
His W will shred your passive so will also lower your armor, his Q heals a decent amount of hp, get your bramble vest and plated steelcaps, W Q max, you can bully him pre 6 if played properly.
Rengar
Tests required :(
Prediction: Rengar is a very angry cat in early game, he will most probably bully you before you get enough items, most recommended W E max for high armor, clear and cripple because rengar does a lot of auto attacks when he can't burst a target, you will outscale him so hard that he can't even trade anymore without dying.
Sett
Skill matchup, recommended W E max, get steelcaps and abuse sunderer's healing to survive his 0 brain all in, make sure to dodge W.
Rumble
Who plays this thing, almost nobody, but if someone does, well... Gl i guess.
[REQUIRED MORE TESTING]
Kennen
Even if he does magic damage, this rat is very vulnerable to poke, if he goes AD, he will lack the damage to kill you and you can run him down with all ins, if he goes AP, he will die with your point click Q spam, if the rest of the enemy team comp allows you to do it, feel free to go AP against Kennen.
Shen
I personally find Shen annoying... Blocks your W, blocks your E with his shield, goes dorans shield and survives your poke... Just max E and farm dodging his taunt harass and don't let him negate too much farm, get steelcaps, go full tank.
Sion
Now for this listen closely, Sion can kick you of the game, as he can be kicked too by you, dont ask why, go sunderer, max Q W, clap his butt until he goes afk or teamfights start. [If he has more brain than you, heh, you're probably done unless it's jungle diff]
Skarner
??
Sylas
This idiot is in extreme just cuz he steals your R, you can even take him down in lane, this is a PTA Sunderer or carry build matchup, comps depending, Max Q because he only heals against champions and W cuz lowering his attack speed is useless due to his passive, if you win the lane phase and roam, you probably won the game.
Tahm Kench
Tahm is like Mundo, he heals a lot and does mostly magic damage, you just have no way to kill him 1v1, not even with divine sunderer, but keep in mind Tahm uses a lot of auto attacks, so going for E max can make it sure you won't lose a lot of CS against him, like other hard matchups, you should just farm and wait for your jungler or roam a lot.
Teemo
Q max, second wind, dorans shield, go AP and have fun getting back the CS you lost in low levels.
Trundle
Wait Trundle is a toplaner too? Idk man, build tf you want and bully him before lv6, just make sure to have bramble vest and steelcaps, max E cuz he only does auto attacks.
Riven
Now you'd expect this to be put as minor or tiny threat, but a riven OTP can be a pain to handle, bone plating is core in this matchup, you can go either PTA or Grasp, don't do the famous mistake of maxing Q against riven, max E W and take her down.
Urgot
Urgot has been suffering in the current conditions of toplane, in this case, he is very easy to kite with your Q, and once you'll get Steelcaps, Bramble Vest and Warden's mail, he will completely become unable to negate your CS.
Vladimir
High sustain, survives your poke, does magic damage, means you can build armor, you'd do better playing it safe with E or W max to clear or trying to kill him with ignite/pta sunderer...
Volibear
His sustain is high, his trading pattern is the best, he will force trading a lot and negate you a lot of CS.
Warwick
Incredible sustain, immune to poke, heals more at low HP, it's like Volibear but worse.
Wukong
Lane phase can be a little annoying, this is another matchup you should face using Sunderer, wukong will build it aswell and will shred you with it, also will heal, bramble vest and sunderer are core items.
Yasuo
Yasuo Syndrome even in master...
Yone
Yone Syndrome, just a little better than Yasuo.
Yorick
His lv6 makes him a Major threat, he has also decent healing from Q against minions, he's still very killable before lv6 no matter what you build as long as it's not AP, just dodge his E and max Q W

Akshan
Akshan is a marksman, he's vulnerable to poke, so comet and second wind will surely do, however his poke potential in lane will hurt as his magic damage will, avoid to force trading and get to Lv6 if you want to force a kill, don't be afraid of losing HP in a fight, simply engage with Q and take away some of his health THEN ult in middle of the fight so your cooldowns will be over and you will be able to score a high total of damage to guarantee a kill.
Yasuo
As long as the yasuo doesnt become malph ult or afk, it's a very strong combo.

A fast introduction to the weird builds shown in this guide.
Right now, this is the ONLY guide that shows true AD Malphite builds, they're not fun builds, they perform in your games when mastered, the only difference with the normal tank Malphite, Is that if you are a Malphite player, you will now have to learn a new playstyle, you have more trading patterns and more ways to even bully your enemies in lane phase, some of those hard matchups are more playable with my builds.
Why this guide?
Since Season 10 started, Riot kept giving us many ways to counter tanks, many armor penetration items, new champions with a lot of true damage and more threats for a full tank Malphite, expecially now, in Season 11 They released of the most annoying items for Malphite to face, Divine Sunderer is definitely so strong for him to fight, this season got extremely high amounts of armor penetration, so i kept feeling a bit different at playing a normal full armor malphite in my games, i kept taking high damage, so i tried to find new ways to play him, first started by adding death's dance BUT on a tank build, since it's physical damage reduction can't be penetrated, so it gives us a way to tank better, now Anathema's Chains also exist, a new item that gives a nice way of tanking, those who will build items like Kraken Slayer will be a threat anyway but not always be enough to stop you.
Why AD Malphite
AD Malphite is just a stupid excuse to fix some horrible matchups Malphite has to face recently, they were easy matchups before, but now that Divine Sunderer spellblade got changed, it's really a dangerous item to face for tanks, so, to be able to fight those who buy it, I created some builds that use the same item that counter Malphite so hard in lane, Divine Sunderer opens a new path to more winnable matchups, such as Gwen , you'll have to give a bit of yourself to win ofcourse, learn a new playstyle with a new build, and also make sure to do good moves in a fight to dodge the dangerous enemy skills.
Bruh just stop
Can you please stop starting 1v1 with R against bruisers? You wasted the only heavy CC your kit has and the enemy can freely trick you in 1v1 with ccs, ult in middle of the fight and abuse the CC to have a way to do more dps and way to make sure your enemy won't dodge the ult with flash or something, less your ult will travel, harder to predict it will be.
NOTE
This Guide will be updated every patch no matter the bad or good votes it will receive from people, the guide is for Malphite mains that want to learn how i managed to climb using AD Malphite.
