kayn is a champion that is high risk, high reward, easy to learn but hard to master. to fully utilise his skills, you will need to have a very good map understanding and use his faster clears to out exp your opposing jungler. imagine kayn as a young tiger; they are targeted as young prey because of their potential, but if you overcome that, you become the king of the jungle. the same applies to this guide, when kayn goes through his relatively weaker early game, he becomes the monster of the team. especially for blue kayn, you have a dash (Q) wall passing (E) prowlers and ghost, so you will be able to close gaps on others very easliy. focus on assassinating their carry first and then go for other squishier champs like mid or supp.

a good kayn player should use his ult cooldowns to plan the ganks. tell your team about the cd status while you are taking objectives or camps, as it is the most crucial part of your kit. it is your execute, your escape, and your damage output. another crucial part is taking both scuttles. if you do not invade, then you cannot use his advantageously fast clear speed. you should focus on taking their krugs as they give the most exp out of the jg mobs and jgers tend to skip them.

general bottom side pathing: red > krugs > raptors > wolves (2 point Q + two autos on the big one kills them) > blue > gromp > scuttle > gank.

general top side pathing: if possible invade raptors > blue > gromp > wolves > raptors > red > krugs > scuttle > gank
