Hello! I am a Malphite main since last season and I have 275k Mastery on him (currently, this number will only keep rising.)

I introduce to you what I believe to be the only true way to play malphite, I personally think that Tank is very lame to play.

Since I already made this same guide for season 13 4 days before it ended (I don't know what I was thinking) I decided to make an updated version immediately after figuring out the best way to play AP malphite in the new season.

In this season, Malphite's synergy with the new items is ABSURDLY BROKEN, the item "Malignance" is the perfect item for Malphite, it gives 20 ult haste, you know, the entire champion's identity, making him even more good, not only that, it also solves the mana issues Malphite has in lane and not to mention it's other very cool and balanced passive, if you ult it will make a burning in the ground that burns for (180+18% AP RATIO if they stay for the full 3 seconds) and this burn also reduces their Magic Resist, this item is the perfect item for malphite, as your ult knocks them up for 1.5 seconds guaranteeing half the burn dmg then you slow them with q and they cannot get out unless they have a dash! It is extremely important to rush this item ASAP to benifit from the haste and it's absurd damage.

Now I don't wanna talk too much about the other Ap items as they are pretty much self explanatory, there's 1 item I have to talk about though, Bloodsong, the item you get after finish your support item quest, it is easily one of the most broken things in this season.

It's passive is relatively simple you get a sheen and if you hit a champion it makes them take 10% MORE DAMAGE.... it is INSANE, to know how OP this actually is let's call back to season 13 when there was an item called evenshroud, it's passive was you immobilize someone or get immobilized and it will cause enemies near you or you immobilize to take 10% more damage, this was nerfed to 7% later, but now they make something similar as a support item and even more damage, it is really strong REALLY. Now if you combine this with First Strike (7% Bonus true damage and they stack additively I believe) you will get 17% MORE DAMAGE!!! this combined with Malignance and Stormsurge will delete any squishy person ingame at any stage even if you're behind, this season is Mages season, let's talk about the game strategy now.

It is quite simple really, from level 1-3 do not engage, you are too weak for now, just focus on enemy mistakes and punish accordingly, it is prefered you try to play extremey passive, your only pook tool is your Q, only use it when your First Strike is up, the mana to dmg ratio is terrible, it is not worth it at all, so only use it to poke when First Strike is up to get some money and extra damage to make it worth.

You have to play around your First Strike the whole game, it makes up the majority of your income, as you are a sup, so you don't cs or take kills (Maybe not the latter but that's beside the point.) so make sure most of your plays are around first strike, only in extreme game losing situations you may act when it's not up.

After 6, only then the game has begun. It is pretty much over for your enemy ADC, you need to look for the perfect time on when to ult them (if they are like 60% just drop your full combo instantly any squishy will die) though you need to check threats and synergies in this guide to know exactly what to do for each matchup.

after stormsurge and bloodsong you will one shot from full hp to 0 without any trouble.

Malphite is the perfect assassin.
