Ashe is a very high threat to Kalista due to the fact of her w and q slow. She is without a doubt one of Kalista very hard counters.

Introduction
Now updated with 5.8!
Some skills that I can tell you guys about her is you should use your w as soon as its up all the time. Its like a personal ward in her kit and you should use that advantage to save gold on wards. Its really good also if you spawn on blue side and when the jungler can cheese you from tri brush. All you do is drop a w over there and you should be protected by any tri brush cheese. Starting w does not hurt what so ever also. If you start w and put one down right after you leash, It should help you from any early game gank's bot. Using your e when at least have 3 stacks on an enemy is good for an escape, Don't forget that when you e with any number of stacks that it slows the enemy a decent amount of percentage. And of course another obvious skill is using your passive while your farming to dodge Thresh hooks, Blitz hooks, Skill shots, Etc. her passive is very over powered if you use it correctly in lane. Also, remember to use her e as a smite towards Baron and Dragon.
Farming with Kalista is a challenge to many people due to the fact of her passive. Her passive is really hard to manage with some people which I really don't understand. People should just play a few normal's with her and get used to farming with her. Her passive is a little tricky, But when you play a few games with her trust me you get used to it. The main thing you have to get used to with her farming is her pull back with her basic attack early levels. if you just time them and practice you should be alright after a few games.
Pros:
- Amazing self peel
- Can hard carry
- Her self ward inside of her kit
- Strong late game
- her e Stacks act like a smite towards Baron and Dragon
Cons:
- Require's a lot of team synergy
- With any kind of hard cc it can stop her amazing kiting ability
- Weak early game due to low attack speed.

She takes a decent amount of team synergy for her to carry. An ideal team for Kalista would be a leona or thresh support. Leona because she has a bunch of cc which gives you time to stack your e, And Thresh because his q + Flay gives you plenty of time pre 6 to stack e's on Kalista. With thresh 6 gives the lane a bunch more power due to the fact of Threshes ult slow, Thresh q + e + r = Much cc and plenty of time for you to stack e's, Same thing goes for leona. She does not need a lot of peel from her time because she can just do it for herself, But its always a good thing if your team can. Any kind of stun from your team comp is also good because you can stack a bunch of e's while they are stunned, Which can burst them down very fast.
There is no lie that Kalista is a very hard champion to work around her passive, But once you really get used to her kit she really is not that hard to play in my opinion. If you are first starting her out do not give up on her, She seems really hard to play and very mechanical which she is, don't get me wrong. But, Once you get the passive down it is a huge advantage in team fights with extreme peeling, Etc. Kalista is a fantastic champion and can solo hard carry many games with a Runaan's build.
