Karma is a very underrated support who really shines in the laning phase. She brings tons of early game damage and decent CC, as well as a handy shield/speedup to the table. When played correctly, she can take over the bot lane and allow her ADC to carry the game.

The key to winning lane as Karma is poke. Her Q and ult give her some of the highest level 1 damage in the game, and you should use this fact to your advantage. Get into the enemy's brush level 1 and use everything on the squishiest member of the enemy botlane. Ideally you should get first blood for your ADC, but chunking them is fine too.

Make sure to continue landing poke whenever you can in lane, and try to zone out the enemy ADC by standing behind their minions whenever you feel safe doing so.

The keys to taking over the bot lane early are:

• AP heavy runes
• Thunderlord's decree
• Spellthief's edge
• Bandit mastery

With these your poke will hurt a lot and you'll earn gold for poking. Remember to harass with autoattacks as well as ulted Qs and Ws.

Add an autoattack to an ulted Q to proc thunderlord's.
Q minions right next to an enemy, the splash is big enough that it will still hit them.
Shield yourself right after putting the W on an enemy to stay in range for the root.
Ult+E in the middle of your team for a mini Sivir ult, great for adding to initiation
