Introduction

Hello, I'm GregTheDreg NA, No prior experience, but I'm willing to try to show you how to run this Tanky Fighter Assasin Warwick.

Pros / Cons

Pros

+ Efficient jungler
+ Unreal Sustain
+ Ultimate often guarantees the kill
+ Both strong mid and late games

Warwick has hard Crowd Control. He scales very well and can duel most junglers

Cons

- Mana hungry
- Difficult to gank before level 6
- If he gets behind he is useless

There are very few cons with Warwick. The greatest risk of playing warwick is the potential of falling behind, this is why you must protect your jungle and gank efficiently.

Masteries

Thanks to some great insight from Lasoor I now realize that Stormraider's Surge well not being the greatest option is viable, but nowhere near as much as the other two potential masteries builds, being either an identical build replacing Stormraider's Surge with Thunderlord's Decree, for bonus burst.

Or you could go with a completely different build going for Courage of the Colossus for that really nice shield whenever you CC anyone, specifically with ult. I, however, am wary of the nerf coming in 7.2 being the following.

SHIELD DURATION :: 4 seconds >>> 3 seconds

BASE SHIELD :: 10-180 (at levels 1-18) >>> 3 - 54 (at levels 1-18) per enemy champion (maximum 15 - 270)

Skill Sequence

>>>

R

Obviously you prioritize you ult above all as always. Nothing unusual here.

W

The speed and attack speed bonuses are just too great to pass up early on, people will underestimate your ability to chase/basic attack speed to damage potential and often start fights they will be unable to finish due to your sustain.

Q

The reason Q takes a back seat to W is because early on the sustain is outstanding yes, but I cannot prioritize the sustain to the W since Warwick has a ton of sustain baked into his passive as well as the jungle item providing that extra sustain atop that. I personally cannot justify taking the Q's levels over the W.

E

While E's damage reduction is quite nice the way that you'll be playing this build would hopefully not put you into too much damage requiring the damage reduction till late game team fights which is why E is prioritized so low since the damage reduction is so minuscule early on it is practically worthless until it is fully leveled essentially wasting about four levels on it.

Spells

Smite

Essential.

Ghost

Ghost > Flash

Ghost over flash for Warwick is how I and many others like running him since his ultimate scales with movement speed for lunge distance, so naturally you take all necessary available ways to increase said lunge distance and ghost is a easy way to do that, while sometimes making escapes a bit more difficult it is worth the risk.

Flash

Flash < Ghost

Flash is my secondary option to ghost since this is the safer method of play allowing easy escapes over walls and the ability to make some great plays with the dodges available but the play making rate of flash to ghost is less for someone like myself who would rather prefer to have the extra lunge distance to easily hop into a team fight from a more than generous distance, or in rare cases hop a wall or two with your ult when you're in a tough spot.

Items

Rush Tiamat into Jungle Item followed up by Bloodrazor then upgrade Tiamat to Titanic Hydra and then its time to build into tank, first grab Spirit Visage then build into Dead Man's Plate then grab a little bit of magic resist with a Locket of the Iron Solari finally finish it off with either Boots of Swiftness for the bonus movement speed or Berserker's Greaves for attack speed, additionally you could swap either of those out for Boots of Mobility instead for the bonus movement speed for those elongated engaging ultimates.

As for when you go against full AP I'd swap out the Dead Man's Plate for a Banshee's Veil
and when you're against full AD I'd swap out the Locket of the Iron Solari for Warmog's Armor

Jungling

There are many ways to run your jungle, you probably will disregard this and run your own as that is usually what I do when looking at any guide or build in general, but here are some of the ways I usually run mine.

This is my usual route starting blue so I won't have to worry about potential mana starving.

Blue-Gromp-Wolves-Red-Craugs-Gank

This is the rarely used, but the probable red start if you want to try to pick up some early kills on really aggressive mid bot laners.

Red-Craugs-Potential Gank-Wolves-Blue-Gromp-Gank

If you have fear of an invasion always grab your blue and red buffs then go around mopping up the rest of the jungle in any fashion you'd like but this is my method.

Red-Blue-Gromp-Wolves-Potential Gank-Craugs-Gank

Ganking

To start with NEVER EVER use W when you're sitting hidden in or near lane, its your way of saying, HAI I'M AT YOUR LANE, GET UNDER YOUR TURRET! Nah, don't be like that. Instead hop into lane with ult if in range or begin to chase, pop w while chasing, e for damage reduction if necessary, smite & ult, e if not used, q, then use q whenever off cool down, I would say the same of E but it can be a nice anti flee tool so I usually hold onto it a bit before just instantly using.

Summary

Overall Warwick is an extremely efficient jungler pick with great gank and chase potential, as well as some unreal sustain that just increases the lower the health he has, his CC is great too and not only can be used to give someone a death sentence, but also can prevent an enemy chase to spare a low health teammate. With this build it should optimize his already alright defensive stats as well as reinforce his damage and add the much needed aoe to his basics.

Hey, thanks for getting this far if you appreciate and approve of this guide and build hit that commend/up vote button and if not, please leave your reasons and ideas why so we can improve this build, thanks so much.

This is my first guide, please be gentle.
