Introduction/About me
I have over 250 ranked sion games played this season while maintaining a 64% winrate as you can see below:
I have over 175k mastery sion points currently :3
Runes
Quintessences:
X2I always go these 2 AD Quints because of how much it helps with his early game damage.
X1I really like this rune it makes it so much easier to cs with and win trades/fights in general
Marks:
X9This is basically the same reason as the greater quints so refer to above!
Seals:
X44 Armor seals seams like a little number but it does a lot and is supported by the 5 scaling health
X5Love these 5 seals they make you tanky after level 6 without doing anything but playing! this is one of the main reason I have 1 rune page for sion
Glyphs:
X9Pretty standard b/c you would never go ap runes... it just makes laning easier
Your runes should look like this:
Items
If against an AP champion in lane:
start Spectre's CowlDO NOT
upgrade it in laning phase it's passive is amazing for laning and once you get Merc treds you will already have 100 magic res which is more than enough. After Spectre's Cowl rush Frozen heart get Glacial Shroud first.If Against an AD champion in lane:
start Glacial ShroudBecause it give Mana as well as 10% CDR. Immediately go Frozen Heart after!
Skill Sequence
Sion's "e" then start winding up sion's "q" while winding his "q" up mid way use Sion's "w" ignite if they have a healing effect and repeat the process as many times as it takes... if they flash/dash away or get away at low health use Sion's "r"
Pros / Cons
+ Very easy to CS with
+ High burst on squishes
+ Very good engage
+ Ult is 36 sec cd if 40%cdr
+ Amazing ganking with ult
+ Has armor shred with "e'
+ Huge shield
+ Amazing peal
+ Strong Teamfight
Cons:
- Skill-Shot reliant
- Easily Kited
- Can't do much when abilities are on cd
Summary
Sion is an amazing champion that can carry games if played correctly and has a lot of out play potential
