Primary Path
Press The Attack Rune Page
| Champion takedowns, after a 1-second delay, restore 12% of your missing health and grants an additional 20 gold. | ||
| Gain 3%(+1.5% per Legend Stack) bonus attack speed, up to 18% with 10 stacks. |
| Deals 5% increased damage to champions while below 60% maximum health. This increases based on your missing health, up to 11% increased damage while below 30% maximum health. |
Secondary Path
Spells
Blade of the Ruined King
PASSIVE: Viego's basic attacks deal bonus physical damage on hit. The bonus damage has a minimum threshold and is capped at 80 against monsters.
Additionally, Viego's damaging abilities apply a mark to enemies for 4 seconds. Viego's next basic attack against a marked target consumes the mark to strike twice, with the second strike dealing 20%AD(+15%AP)physical damage and healing him for 150% of the post-mitigation damage dealt, increased to 155% against monsters and reduces to 100% against minions. The second strikes is affected by critical strike modifiers and, while not under possession, it applies on hit effects at 100% effectiveness.
Active: Viego thrusts his blade in the target direction, dealing physical damage to enemies hit, increased by 0%-75%(based on critical strike chance), and 10 bonus physical damage against monsters.
*THE PASSIVE REMAINS UNDER POSSESSION*
Spectral Maw
This skill can sometimes be learned first lvl 1, as it provides a shield to negate some of the early damage when trying to farm. Each sphere that hits an object does magic damage and gives a shield at the end. Use Pale Cascade with Crescent Strike to wave clear minions faster. Once you've mastered how much shield you get, it's easy to bait people into all inning you with Pale Cascade up.
Harrowed Path
This skill makes Diana dash to enemies. Remember that enemies that are marked with Crescent Strike reset Lunar Rush cdr. You can also use this on minions to get away from enemies. A really good tip would be to remember that Lunar Rush places you BEHIND enemy units, which can easily avoid Last Breath and Rake.
Heartbreaker
This skill pulls enemy units to Diana and slows their movement speed. Always try to use it when you're positioned in the middle of the teamfights. It also fits with top laners because Moonfall procs Last Breath. A good Diana will use Moonfall to cancel ult casts like Destiny and Stand United.

Summoner Spells
Flash is really good on Viego because you can use it to re-angle Spectral Maw to hit more accurately.
Ignite is also really good on viego because it secures kills as well as reduce healing with grievous wounds.

How To Split
STEP 1: CAST Harrowed Path onto a wall or turret to get attack speed
STEP 2: Auto Attack Turret then cast Spectral Maw to reset auto attack
STEP 3: Repeat steps 1-2 but if an enemy comes, use Spectral Maw away from turret and use Harrowed Path on the wall to gain movement speed and escape.
The 3 Combos
Game Summary
Early Game
Lv 1 poke the enemy as much as you can with your Q. When you're against ranged champions like Syndra, you can use your q to last hit from afar to avoid taking too much damage. Your standard poke should be Q and autoattack to proc passive. Once you hit level 2, you can then push forward to use Spectral Maw to gap close and stun your enemy. Constantly use these combos to harass in lane Q+AUTO ATTACK or W + AUTOATTACK + Q + AUTOATTACK.
Mid Game
By this time you should have Harrowed Path. You can use Harrowed Path to roam the side lanes...MAKE SURE TO USE THIS ABILITY ON WALLS LIKE BARON PIT AND DRAGON PIT. The objective pits have a higher surface area for Harrowed Path to spread which means you will get your movement speed boost a lot longer.
Late Game
Your goal late game is to split push and apply pressure in the side lanes. Viego should easily win 1v1's as he has the kit to easily punish tanks in the side lanes. In terms of teamfighting, always use the the combos as mentioned at the top in the 3 combos section. Engage with harrowed path, stun with spectral maw, autoattack every time you use a damaging ability, and use ultimate on the lowest hp target to possess its soul.

Laning Phase
IRELIA
Irelia is probably one of the hardest matchups as her E does physical damage reduction. Perhaps holding an executioners after kraken slayer would be good to reduce her healing from Q. Get an early plated steel caps as well to reduce physical damage in her auto attacks.
SYNDRA
Syndra is the WORST matchup you could face because it should be ultimately impossible to land your Spectral Maw if shes holding her E. This matchup you can get wits ends AFTER goredrinker should the enemy team have heavy AP champions. You can also rush mercs tread right after kraken slayer to reduce the stun from her QE.
CASSIOPEIA
Cass is a difficult matchup in which you should start Doran's shield. Doran's shield will help against her poke damage and give you more sustain in the laning phase. Mercs tread right after kraken slayer will help with cass' miasma and ultimate.
RUMBLE
Rumble is also another matchup you should start Doran's shield for. His damage per second on his Q outdamages viegos initial burst which is why it's better to go for the defensive route early game. Like the syndra matchup, you can also get wits end should the enemy team have heavy ap teammates. RUSH Mercs tread.
