Annie
Point and click stun into tibbers is deadly. Blind is useless. Be very careful with this one. Don't feed, try to go even in lane, and trade aggressively when Annie's stun is down. Many Annie players make the mistake of holding the stun too long. Use this opportunity to push the wave aggressively, without getting in range. If you can drop the wave into tower while Annie does not use abilities, she will miss a lot of minions. Consider the Banshees Veil for this one if she is fed. Post-6 if you get stunned you're dead.
Champion Build Guide
Disclaimer: I am not a high ranked teemo player. However, I have played and watched many teemo games, and regardless of my rank, these shrooms Noxious Trap will always explode! If you don't trust my runes, advice, matchups, at least trust my shroom placements. They are on point. I will be explaining which shrooms to use where, and the general idea of what I call offensive shroom placements. I am level 90 though, and do have mastery 7 on teemo, so it cannot exactly be said I do not know what I am talking about when it comes to teemo.

Area 1: The Three Bushes Escape and Bait It makes sense to place these shrooms whenever you notice your enemy has the tendency to enter bushes. It provides free vision and prevents you getting caught by champions such as Urgot and Sett. They are also excellent escape tools if you are in a lane where you are winning and pushed up. In the case of having to run away due to a jungler gank or some other case; for example, Nasus engaging with W or Darius ghosting on you, you can easily run to your bushes and escape. Baiting enemies by going into this bush also works. |
Guardian Pair Anti-Escape + Escape These two shrooms are traps for the enemy. What makes them different from the triple bush shrooms? These shrooms have more offensive capabilities than the triple bush. Since they are outside the bush, enemies generally suspect them less. Mushrooms are associated with bushes, after all. Placing Shroom Position 2 allows you to get a defensive shroom placement which allows you to lock down your target after they are pushed. It is incredibly good to follow up ganks. More often than not, enemies will try to run through the bushes. Shroom Placement 3 also gives you an escape. The main capability is to be able to manipulate the enemy minion wave to step on these shrooms. It isn't really a requirement for the enemy to trigger the shroom themselves. By baiting minions by yourself, you can trigger the shrooms to get a favourable trade. |
Mine Turtle Shroom Gank Safety and Lane Harass I call this one the Mine Turtle Shroom because anything stepping on it will blow it up. It is incredible when you are harassing enemies under tower. If they even step close out of their tower, drag minions to explode the shroom. Furthermore, it is great to catch jungles ganking you. If they come from behind you, you can run past this and go through the tri-bush. More often than not, Junglers will take the most efficient route which includes pathing through your shroom. The 30% slow will allow you to escape. |
Wards 2.0 Anti Gank Who needs wards when you have teemo shrooms? That was a joke, still use wards. Against any speed based jungler, these shrooms are a godsend, especially the tribush shroom. Hecarim? Nunu? Absolutely no problem! The slow will allow you to get out for free. Also, easily triggered if your laner decides to place a ward deep into river or roam. Tri-bush shroom (5) is arguably much more useful than the (6) river shroom as it cannot easily be dodged if positioned properly. |
Paranoia Shrooms Anti Gank and Escape The Paranoia Shrooms are much less useful than the tri-bush shroom, but in the case that there is some really annoying guy like Nunu who is camping your lane, it may seem that the river shroom is insufficient. If you are truly Kled-level paranoid, go ahead and use these shrooms to deter your enemy. Arguably, it is already too late by the time the enemy reaches here. Try and turn it into a kill if you can, though. There is also another use, which is escaping. By pathing through these shrooms, the enemy may follow you, which makes them trigger the shroom. Also catches anyone trying to ward. |
Offensive Shroom Placements are shrooms you can place mid-fight. They are incredibly useful, and all good Teemo players will use these.
In truth, if you consider a fight, Teemo can only have two damage abilities. Auto attacking, and his Q. It is not enough to defeat people who can use all four abilities to output insane amounts of DPS. Thus comes the idea of Offensive Shroom Placements.
Apply Directly To Burned Section Here, there are two enemies chasing after our Teemo. Understanding that auto attacking won't be able to defeat Elise, an assassin, and Blitz, a tank, and with his Q on cooldown, the only ability left is the shroom. By placing a shroom directly on Elise, who has spiders around her, the shroom is able to be triggered. A way to increase the efficiency of this in 1v1 scenarios in top lane against melee laners is to place shrooms and then kite around them. You ideally want to keep the mushroom between you and the enemy at all times. They would have to circle around, risking making a mistake, or just suffering the slow and damage. The most effective way to do this is to throw it on a minion wave directly next to the enemy while fighting them. |
Mid-Teamfight Chaos In this scenario, our Teemo is stuck in an unfavourable fight in Dragon side river. His team is to the right, struggling to engage. By placing these shrooms and leaving, it restricts the enemy team's movement. By any chance if Teemo's team were to engage, and the enemy started retreating, the shroom is likely to trigger, causing escape opportunities to die off. Spamming random shrooms in choke points during fights can easily decide entire fights. This works most spectacularly in jungle skirmishes. Only possible Level 11-16. |
Taking Advantage of Immobilization Any stunned champion is easy to place a shroom under. Make use of your team's CC to put shrooms under people. Ensure you shroom people who are using Hourglass or Guardian Angel. If placed correctly, it is a guaranteed proc which is not able to be dodged without an instant flash. Those fools think they are going to survive by buying time with hourglass? They are only sealing their own demise. |
Any of these shrooms can be mirrored on the other side of the jungle, so I have only displayed half of the map.
Thank you for reading my short guide on Teemo shrooms! Many people think shrooms are purely traps. Those guys are wrong! Hopefully I can see more fellow teemos using these strategies to hopefully increase the winrate of this champion. Good luck!
