Just poke her out. Don't trade autos too much, just use max range spells with plants. Don't get hit by the bubble of course.
If you get hit by her Q and E you might even lose the trades. So, try to avoid the Q at least and then just poke her out of lane with max range spells and plants. Her sustains isn't a huge threat. The threat is her ability to deal damage actually.
If the lane is even and you get hit by the combo and E, it's gonna be a rough day. I just want to push the lane and hurt Ali or the ADC so much that the all-in is not an great option for them or results in a kill-trade at least. you shouldn't really cast your spells on the Ali after he finishes the combo as he has the extra resist from aftershock. So ideally kill the carry instead.
You need brush control and poke to destroy her. Even then the all-ins from Leona are seriously deadly. Can't really cast spells on her when she has the aftershock resists up. So gotta kill the carry instead. But still. Poking Leona is pretty important so that she is forced to recall or at least can't get clean kills.
Skill match-up. Stay behind minions. Don't just stand in the brush as a smart Blitz will hook you, even without vision. If you always stay behind minions or plants you are in a good spot. Of course the really good Blitzcranks will actually initiate with like flash E instead or try to juke the root then E you. So that's why you need to have them poked down enough before that is even an possibility. Going even in the lane is okay as playing Blitz in 5v5 team fights is really rough I think. You'll be much more useful than him usually. So one cool trick is to like cast plant in front of you and then bait Blitz into hooking you. It will just kill the plant instead. Also if he misses the hook, PUNISH HIM WITH POKE.
He is super popular and somehow people pick him vs Zyra. But I think Zyra is actually a Thresh counter. At least I seem to have like 80-90% Win rate vs him. Just like with Blitzcrank, you need to stay behind minons, take brush control(vision at least)) and then poke the crap out of him. If he lands the hook, just hope you had full hp then kill the ADC as he follows up. I have 0 issues on this match-up. Even if I somehow lost the lane I feel like I can do a lot more in 5v5 than Thresh unless he is seriously good at vision control and getting picks for his team.
He has a ton of poke, huge base damage, stun! Basically you need to avoid the W then fuck him up with your spells. That's about it. And also somehow have more sustain than him( the runes, refillable potion?). Level 6 it comes down to who lands the combo first for kills. Often it might be traded kills.
She is quite good actually vs Zyra and I often pick Sona vs enemy Zyra. Comes down to the trades. Can Sona land her Q+ auto combos without getting punished? Zyra should out-range her, but Sona has some nice sustain. Late game she has like the highest win rate of any support! So just going even vs her might not be enough.
I haven't played that much vs him, but he should be similar to Ali and Leona as in he has seriously dangerous engages. And of course he even has some sustain vs your poke.
I think he is more dangerous than the other hook-champions just because he has the mobility and invisibility for surprise factor. Also he has that regeneration. Not to mention the burst from ult. But even then, the few Pykes I've played against weren't so good, so he might be more dangerous played as solo lane than a support?
If it's a really good Xerath he is actually a counter to Zyra. You just try and try to poke him without getting punished too much. Don't let him land the stun. Even if you lose the laning phase it's not the end of the world. I think Zyra might actually be more useful later on with the Liandry plants etc.
Black shield is annoying, but I don't think Morgana should win vs Zyra. Might go even though. It basically comes down to if she can land Q's or the ult.
I'm usually not really worried about this match-up, but of course with something like Lucian it can quickly get really rough. Basically you have to just avoid the Q and poke him out. but the smart Braums will have sustain and get good engages from W into minion jumps so prepare for some hard fights. It comes down to how good he plays with his ADC. If it's like Lucian or Draven that follows-up great when he lands Q then it might get hard.
She doesn't really have the sustain or engage vs Zyra. So you're free to go for some roots unpunished and if you land some it should kill her.
The stun and his damage can actually kill you quickly, but it's not the easiest thing to land and you have more poke tools than him. Also I question his usefulness in solo queue team-fights so going even in the lane is not so bad.
Push and poke. Cait can do great damage over minion waves and take turret plates. Can also finish the enemies you poked low.
You can create space in the lane for Draven to shine. Also you can help him snowball. He is also super strong early & mid game.
He is just a bit weak early with the tear-builds. Also he might have hard time following up on your roots through minion waves as Q could hit minions instead. If you can push the wave unpunished and without getting ganked then of course the double long range poke could work nicely, but I feel there are easier ADCs to play with than Ezreal.
He has a ton of poke and can finish enemies from long range.
There are question marks over MFs high elo viability, but I think in the below diamond games she is quite strong, thanks to the insane laning potential she has.
Just a really strong ADC pick in the current meta. Scales well and has easy time following up on your roots for kills.

Season 9 Zyra SupportBy Lonxu
[*] Next up will be: the game phases and your objectives.
[*] Then later on I'll put on some videos.
[*] Finally I will add some more tricks and tips.
It's pre-season 9 and bottom lane meta is crazier than ever before.
I'm returning LoL veteran (Season 4 Master tier as Zyra main), who didn't really play much in the previous seasons, but now I'm testing things out again.
Right now, I feel like Zyra is a top-tier support in terms of win rate and is rising in popularity.
[*] Zone control.
[*] Carry level damage as support, makes good use of Liandry's Torment.
[*] AoE CC Grasping Roots, Stranglethorns.
[*] No mobility.
[*] No utility other than a root and knock-up.
[*] Cast times or delays on spells.
Early laning phase is an opportunity to get ahead.
You will start the game with Spellthief's Edge and Deadly Spines on level 1.
Level 1: Your basic harass combo is: Deadly Spines + auto attack. Then just back off. No need to extend the trade or risk getting engage on, we don't really want that yet.
Level 2: Your harass gets a lot more potent. Now you will: Deadly Spines + Rampant Growth + auto attack.
Note: you can still do the Q harass even without plants, but only if enemy has no answer to that. If you know it's going to be a trade, then it's better to wait until you can get plants to go with it.
Level 3: We put the first point in Grasping Roots. Casting it is a bit more risky than Deadly Spines, but also has more potential for actually killing the enemy. Again you will first cast the E, then during the travel you place the seeds down.
Mission 1: Poke, Kill, Repeat.
[*] Be aware of what the dangerous spells from the enemy bot lane are. Be it Thresh Death Sentence, Brand Pillar of Flame or Leona Zenith Blade. When that spell is on cool down, then it might be a good time to play aggressive.
[*] Also you need to read the map, is there a chance you get ganked? But honestly, it's not always possible to avoid ganks and you shouldn't always respect the enemy jungler THAT much.
[*] Lane control. Try to have vision Warding Totem in the brush or at least keep poking enemy out of there with your plants Thorn Spitter. Also if enemy has a huge minion wave, it's better to just retreat to your turret and let the wave reset instead of fighting inside the minion wave.
