Pantheon is a great champion and also really fun to play. In this guide I will show you how to play Pantheon and also how to use his abilities and his skills.

I use a 21/9/0 mastery for the extra damage and the 9 points in defense for the extra health boost from Veteran's Scars . This boost from Def will help you early game to absorb just a bit more damage.

I max out Spear Shot first because it is your main damage source. Then I alternate between Aegis of Zeonia and Heartseeker Strike because they are both needed to perform your combo. Of course I also grab Grand Skyfall whenever I get the chance.

Spear Shot is Pantheon's bread and butter ability. It can be used to last hit, harass, and kill. It is great because it is a ranged damage spell so you don't have to get really close to your enemies. It is great because if your enemies have just managed to get away from one of your allies with really low health you can jump in there and finish them off.

Aegis of Zeonia is a great spell for ganking, and initiating. This ability starts your assault on your enemies because it lets you jump to your enemy stunning them, and giving you sometime to land Heartseeker Strike.


Heartseeker Strike is a skill shot channel ability which when used does damage in a cone to enemies in front of Pantheon. This should be used after you land Aegis of Zeonia or to farm.


This is Pantheon's ultimate. He jumps in to the air and then drops down a long distance away doing high damage and slowing enemies in an area. Grand Skyfall should be used when chasing and enemy so that they have to run into your area for Grand Skyfall or to jump into a team fight and deal a lot of AOE damage. This takes a bit of thinking to learn so don't feel bad if you miss it a lot the first few games you use it in.

You really want a Manamume because Pantheon is really mana dependent and it gives you some AD + some mana regen. You will also want to ask your jungler for blue buff. Frozen Mallet is also a great item because of the slow. Infinity Edge is great because of the damage output and the crit. Youmuu's Ghostblade is great for chasing and running, and Tiamat is good for some extra AD. Berserker's Greaves is good because it gives you the bonus attack speed and the bonus movement speed.

Pantheon is a great farmer if used correctly. His Heartseeker Strike is great for last hitting multiple creeps. Also Spear Shot is good for last hitting.

Ignite is great for finishing off enemies if your spears don't do enough damage you can pop Ignite to finish them off. Flash is just a great summoner spell all around. It will let you get close to your enemy or to escape over a wall. Flash is pretty much a must have.
