Introduction
For masteries, I decide to go 0-21-9. This helps Sona stay in lane longer and also helps to sustain her mana (if you spam her skills she becomes VERY mana hungry early game ). So far this is the best masteries for me to keep me in lane early game.
I have also tried using other masteries like 21-0-9(completely useless btw she only has two damaging spells)

As for Quints, i get Greater Quintessence of Health for the extra health as [sona] is pretty squishy early game. For Marks, i get Greater Mark of Magic Penetration because all of her damaging spells deal magic damage. As for Seals, I either take Greater Seal of Armor or Greater Seal of Magic Resist. Lastly, for Glyphs, i get Greater glyph of replenishment for the extra mana regen.
At the start of the game I usually get Faerie Charm, three sight ward and two Health Potion. I immediately upgrade my Faerie Charm into a philosopher's stone and get my boots. After this i get my Shurelya's Battlesong, Randuin's Omen and Oracle's Elixir. If the game really drags on i get my Abyssal Mask and my Banshee's Veil.
As for skills, i get my Aria of Perseverance at level 1 and max it first to keep my partner in lane longer. Next i max my hymm of valor for the extra damage and I max my Song of Celerity last because of the speed buff from Shurelya's Battlesong.
Exhaust pretty useful against an enemy like Tryndamere but i don't really recommend it
Ghost why would you need it if you already have Song of Celerity and Shurelya's Battlesong
Rally and Revive need i explain more?
Smite I suggest you leave that to junglers
Surge you don't deal THAT much damage....
Clairvoyance actually a good summoner spell for a support-gives you map awareness(such as where the opponent jungler is)
Cleanse awesome summoner spell especially since you don't have any tenacity items
Ignite good for last hitting when the opponent has little health but then again you are the support...I suggest you leave it to the carries
Clarity helps you and your laning partner with the mana heal. i use it most of the time.
Flash this is an awesome summoner spell with many uses such as to get away or to reposition yourself to cast Crescendo
