What I notice is that Iceborn Gauntlet isn't mentioned anywhere. I'm not saying to change anything about the guide but it is a viable option that I favour over a lot of other items due to the mix of stats it gives.
A larger mana pool, durability, cooldowns, AP and the AOE slow field. The on hit damage is just a small unimportant plus.
Sona's low cooldowns allow for rapid usage of the slow effect making kiting much easier and can be paired with Power Chord: TEMPO to make escape nigh impossible.
Assuming standard meta Iceborn makes for a great third item considering lane threat and potential threats to come. After getting the second form of your gold item of choice as well as Sightstone. The additional HP from Sightstone proves useful against all forms of damage while the resistances from Iceborn Gauntlet make you resilient to the first immediate threat in your lane.
A larger mana pool makes items with the Mana Font (1% increased mana regen for each 1% mana missing) passive more effective as even at a lower percent of mana your current mana pool can be quite large but you will also maintain a greater amount of manaregen for longer amounts of time.
The thing about IBG is that it has a poor build path for most situations. It's a fairly high-armor item, but it only gives 20 of 60 armor until it's complete. Sheen is better the earlier you can get it and gives dominance in early lane skirmishes. However, delaying core items like Sightstone, boots, and tier 2 GP10 is undesirable. These considerations show building IBG is somewhat at odds with a normal supportive build, and requires taking a large risk, or having a secure lead and surplus gold. Not incorporating Sheen into your build early means that during mid-game, you will be investing important gold and item slots into items that don't give impacting benefits until the full IBG is complete.
By contrast, the path for Frozen Heart lets you sit on 70 armor until combining the item (plus the passive of Warden's Mail). I like IBG as a completed item, but I think its build path is what makes it a less-viable item on Sona.

Ouch, sorry to hear about your hand! Take your time healing up! You're welcome!

I'm willing to help you edit your writing and clean up some of the formatting. I can also help you write about a poke-based playstyle if you wish to include this after reading my critiques. Please let me know if you would like this!
I'd like to add some more critiques and elaborate on my previous ones:
My biggest complaint on this topic--you include Sorcerer's Shoes in the cheat sheet, while simultaneously rejecting hybrid penetration marks and the Spellthief's Edge option. This makes absolutely no sense--do I need to explain why further?
I would love for this guide to contain information about both build paths (utility-based, utilizing Talisman of Ascension; poke- and AP-based, utilizing Frost Queen's Claim), but if you choose to prefer one, PLEASE be consistent about it, and don't downplay the other so much, when it is perfectly viable in the appropriate matchups!
You state that there is "no reason not to build" Locket of the Iron Solari. I may be misunderstanding what you mean by that, but I think it is inconsistent for you to treat Locket (which has a specific function against AoE magic damage) differently that Crucible, which are both powerful enough to consider buying even if their 'specific functions' aren't met.
Please let me know what you think of my input, and if you want any additional help!
