Introduction

Now regarding runes I have gone for the classical tanky runes o' mine. They will benefit you at early game and help you tank turrets and champions' pokes at the late game.So thats the basic reason I chose x9
Greater Seal of Health, x9
Greater Mark of Armor, x9
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist and last but not least x3
Greater Quintessence of Armor so you can tolerate the auto attacks from enemy adc and tank the whole damage to the road o supporting.




Now for masteries, I am choosing of course
Explorer's Ward to have a vision on enemy team either you wish to invade them or if you want to know the movement of their jungler or the movement of enemy bot after the pull. Morever I decided to chose Movement and gold per 5 sec so I can run up to my lane when needed and also benefit from the patience and defensive play.

Nothing special to add except the surprice of
Ohmwrecker, which it really is. Well disabling a turrety it is not used in many games so when you disable enemy turret your enemies except of their shock they will have lost crucial 2.5 seconds which in terms of damage they are about 3 attacks of the turret. When used right you can destroy turrets with your low life team when simultaneously tanking. Well
Shurelya's Battlesong with extra bonus movement speed to whole team is helping you chase down low life enemies, or it's gonna help you on an escape from a sure lost teamfight.
Locket of the Iron Solari is also a must build item because except for the Health you will gain anj activatable shield with very short cooldown and every helpful on late game and teamfight not only for you but for your team too.



I would suggest maxing up first E
Triumphant Roar due to the fact that is a massive heal ability comes very quickly even if your adc is not very ggod at last hits and you can heal many champions and minions to tank turrets or enter easily teamfights. Stay close to your main damage allies to benefit them with your heal. Now about Q
Pulverize it is a very useful skill either to protect your team so to escape and also to knock airborne and stun enemy champions or enemy team so yours can catch up. In combination with
Headbutt you can move up to target's location and if you quickly open
Pulverize you can knock airborne the other near targets.




I suggest once more
Clarity to have sustain on your lane or alternatively you can choose to pick
Clairvoyance so you can have vision on specific areas in very short time. But the standard spell is gonna be
Exhaust so you can slow enemy's movement speed and attack speed either for you or your team to escape or either catch up with one enemy champion.



Well
Alistar is a very good tank-support and if you know how to use him properly you will benefit much and you will not win only many games but you will leave speechless your shocked and ''dead'' enemies and also your allies surpriced by your skills.
