Why.. Swain a support? Of all champs he have one of the most unsupportive skillsets! O.o

When you finish Rylai's and Shurelya's, you can quickly move into their team and cast your ult to slow everyone the birds hit =)

Yeah, Jarvan does have good support skills, and you could build support Jarvan if you wanted ^^

Why get dodge seals on characters that should be sitting in the back not being bothered my melee heroes? You aren't going to be able to support much in lane with no mana reg seals and 1 faerie charm.
Avarice and Swiftness quints are unnecessary. You are going to start with 4 bars of health since you don't start with any health items, and be very easy to kill. I could see swiftness quints on roamers, but I have a feeling your Soraka is not roaming.
All you really say in your text is let the carry get the last hits and buy wards, but there is so much more. You don't even talk about that if it's between you and another teammate dying you die (for instance hasting your carry away on zil before yourself). You didn't talk about what you should be doing in teamfights.
I doubt Randuin's and Frozen heart should be bought on almost all of these champs almost all of the time. They'll have trouble being killed yes, but a lot of them have little to no AP when they have heals so their heals will be ****, then they don't have enough mana regen (only shurelya's with no runes) to keep up their mana enough to spam their weak heals.
Nice attempt but needs a lot of work.
Also, I don't see how moving faster on a support could ever possibly be a bad thing.
Most of the support items have health in them, and particularly the way I support, I become quite tanky.
Moving faster is a better late game investment than 70 some hp early...

I've never been one to just do things the way everyone else assumes they should be done.
I don't like the way most people support.
And I could mention that if you or the carry might die it should be you, that's situational. Usually supports buy oracles. If you do that, then you should most certainly -not- be the one who dies.
Also, there will be no mana issues if you follow the mastery's provided.
If you sit that far in the back, you'll be less likely to die, but you might not be able to support everyone on the team. Just the carry. That's fine, but it's not always for me.
Like I mentioned, gold-starved champs benefit more from defensive items than any other items. Thusly, getting a randuin's on a champion like Soraka allows you to both support with the randuin active and your skills, and be tanky enough to not be trembling the entire match with your finger on flash, so far back that you can hardly get your aura's around the team.
Again, the way you've described works, we've seen it work. I just like my way better, which is why this is "Supporting by Duff," and not supporting by Mowen =P

And yes, I do buy those wards. And yes, I can afford my build. Why? That assist gold for early game ganks adds up so much.
