I enjoy playing Taric and you should have a reason to like him as well.
I strongly recommend this build because you become very difficult to kill as well as help your team out a bunch.

+Good Initiator Due To Tankiness
+Good Heal Even With No AP
+If He Gets Focused The Other Team Will Die
CONS -
-Slow With Out Swiftness Boots Making It Harder To Ward
-Most Annoying Joke In The Game
-Gets Chirped A Lot Because Of His Fifth Age Taric Skin

Warding Can Be A Big Part Of Any Game If It Is Keeping An Eye On Enemy Buffs Or Preventing Ganks It Can Help A Team Out Massively
