He's Darius, just ban him... Darius will bully you out of existence so don't get close and just poke at him with W if you have to fight him.
Teemo sucks for every top laner to face really so this is the other viable ban. If you have to fight Teemo just play it safe and after he sets up his mushrooms don't chase him anymore. Teemo also gives of Blue orbs making it harer to get form against him, if you are able to roam a big and get form from other champions do so, if not you might just have to wait out the timer.
A good Irelia will always beat your cheeks in so play careful around her until you either get your R or form.
Jax is always a scary character to go against but you just need to remember your strengths and weaknesses. If you go in to fight him make sure you can either get the kill or have a guaranteed escape. Play smart.
Maokai has very dangerous poke especially when your aren't tanky yet. Try to poke at him and you can start to go after him after you get your R.
Malphite always has a strong early game but after you hit form he will be less of a problem and more of a road block. The early game can be hard and if you feed him you may never recover but if you play smart enough then you will be fine.
Akali is a very strong and broken champ rn, but never fear, so is Kayn. She can kill you very fast and if fed will dominate your entire game, so try not to trade with her, stay out of her poking range, and CS up.
Olaf has a strong early game so he is a pain to go up against. Play safe and avoid his axes with your Q and you should be fine.
Garen is a scary foe for Tayn for 3 reasons. 1) he can silence you 2) his passive get rid of your pokes 3) his ult will delete you because of it being an execute Be careful and try to fight him in 2 v 1 scenario's and after you get RHAAST.
Ornn is big, mean, and dishes out a lot of damage if push comes to shove. Play it safe till you get your form on this guy. (also if he ults and your close to him ult him and just sit in him till his ult goes away then make your escape or kill him if you can).
Illaoi is always a dangerous top lane but with all of the mobility Kayn has you shouldn't have a hard time avoiding her tentacles.
Renekton is a big bully who will tie you into a knot and throw you into the void below ARAM. His level 3 power spike is insane so try not to engage him ever. Get the bramble vest and pray that whoever your fighting is a garbage player at Renekton.
Much like Renekton Warwick has a lot of sustain and his Q will always manage to out heal you somehow. Don't try to fight him unless he is at a huge disadvantage or you have your bramble vest. After your bramble vest you have a chance to beat him up. Remember your first back dosn't always need to happen while one of you are dead, if he wants to get 1 tower plating while you get the item that kills him and his entire family then let him. Bramble vest is very important here so buy it as soon as you can.
Voli is strong but TAYN IS STRONGER. He will beat up the over confidence players but if you kite him around he will look less like a bear and more like a headless chicken.
Ive played against 1 Yorick top so my advice here is limited. Just grab the early bramble vest and poke the crap outta him, after you get your R go crazy.
Moredekaiser is pretty good early game so just don't agro him to much. When he tries to hit you just Q out of it. If he Ults you and there is a Wall in the Arena play around it.
Honestly Aatrox is kinda in a weird spot on this list, His Omni vamp should be gone when you first back with his grievous wounds and then it just depends on how good you are at dodging his skill shots. If the person playing Aatrox is good then play it safe and engage when you can (after your first back). If they are bad, bully them. (remember his last hit hits close to him so save a dash or something to get away from that last hit).
Shes not the worst, just get form and send her back to mommy.
Red Kayn's W makes the enemy's airborn which Yasuo can immediately Ult into winning many team fights
Champion Build Guide
As Kayn you want to make sure you are managing your mana well and try not to poke too much if you only have half of your mana left. Use your mana wisely and try to conserve and let the other top laner run out (if they have mana that is). Never spam abilities outside of a fight and make sure you save your E for running away early on.
After level 6 you have your R, so you can now be a bit more aggressive without worrying too much. Make sure you are still CSing and poking them but you are now free to engage more often.
I don't recommend tower diving after level 6 but you're already playing Tayn so do whatever feels right.
First you might want to try out Rammus
But Second get the bramble vest
If you would rather go rush Sunfire Aegis then just start building away at it.
DO NOT GO BLUE FORM. Even if you get blue first, wait for the red. You are Tayn, not the fast assassiny boi.
Now as a Chunky boi make sure to wipe the cheeks of everyone that crosses your path that you can take on because now you need money, and lots of it. Make sure to keep CSing to gain more health from Overgrowth and take down everyone in sight for that sweet sweet cash bonus.
During fights Kayn's E is much shorter and you get forced out of the wall much quicker, so keep that in mind. After getting too low, if you can avoid inting then E through the walls for a quick escape (Reminder you can flash or Q into the walls after hitting E for a very fast escape if necessary, but don't do this if you don't need to, it takes practice to get it down).
Kayn gains his form by smackin enemies. These can be auto attacks or abilities, as long as your doin the damage, the orbs will spawn. These orbs will auto fly to you eventually no matter how far away or dead you are so don't worry about losing them. Different champions give out different types of orbs, either Red or Blue, and this will dictate which form you get depending on which one you collect more from. Melee champions (Like Garen for example) will drop your Red orbs and Ranged people (Like Caitlyn for example) will drop your Blue orbs. After you collect all of the orbs he needs to MEGA EVOLVE, then orbs will no longer spawn in. Kayn can transform in the Shadow Assassin (Blue Kayn) or RHAAST (Red Kayn) at the fountain (your team's spawn). If you end up getting the wrong form don't worry because you can wait a bit of time to transform into the other one (the time indicator will be over the form you didn't get). Killing people after getting the wrong form speeds up the time for the correct form to be unlocked as well.
Kayn's Q is the AOE slash he does with the scythe. This does damage 2 times in the animation (first for the leap and second for the actual spin) so make sure you remember and abuse that fact. You can also use Kayn's Q to jump over short walls for either a quick escape or a sneaky engage. Kayn's Q is also great for dodging skill shots so if you wish to use it that way it is very helpful. As Red Kayn this also does % health damage so you don't need to be afraid of it falling off.
Kayn's W changes with the form he is given. Since this is a guide for Red Kayn he is the one I will be going over. Red Kayn's W will make people airborne for a couple of seconds giving you time to catch up or run away. This can act like a free stun and will push people out of channeling ults like Warwick's leap or Miss Fortune's CONE OF DEATH.
Kayn's E is his ability to run through walls. Not only does this make the map quicker to travel, easier to engage, and an excellent escape tool, but it also heals you. Normally this ability will last for 3 seconds but if in combat it will last for 1.5 seconds instead. If you deal damage or are hit while in the wall you will be forced out entirely. You can Q inside of walls to dodge and if you don't hit anything with the Q you will remain in the wall.
Lastly is Kayn's Ult, Umbral Trespass. After hitting an enemy they will be marked. If you hover your cursor over them and press R then you will warp inside of them. After you are inside of them you can press R again to leap out of them dealing damage to them in the process. You can sit inside of them for up to 2.5 seconds. As RHAAST this will deal % health damage and will heal you for a percentage of the target's health that you cast it on. You can angle this so make sure before you recast it to consider where you want to pop out. Also your ability cooldowns are still active while you're inside a target, so if you need to stall for time to wait for your abilities to come back then wait to recast the R to jump out.
RHAAST's passive is that he heal 30%-40% of the damage he deals to enemies with his abilities (Q,W,and R).
If you want to learn more on how to become a good Kayn look up Karasmai on YouTube or Twitch. Hes the #1 Kayn player in the world and has lots of tutorial videos on how to play Kayn better (of course they are all for Jungle Kayn but if you get interested in this champ then I would check him out).
